Can't believe you finger tighten the scope mount nut...🤯...live and learn! I'm surprised the scope uses the internal battery first...then removable....can this be changed? I'm wondering what improvements could be made to this scope........it seems to tick all the boxes....

never have and never had a issue. it uses the internal first then can always run in 18650s for as long as you want.

Hi Tim, thanks for the info, I don't know if anybody asked but can you change the colour on the small x on the ballistic calculator from red? I'm colour blind and find it hard to see against grass etc..in the daytime. Thanks Paul from Yorkshire

Hi Tim I think i know the answer to this but will ask anyway. Does the balistic calculator automatically compensate for 'angle' (given that the scope features an inclinometer). I ask, as ive recently had a couple of very questionable 200 meter misses with shots taken from a significant angle. Shots taken from a very steady 'prone' position off a bipod, with a low recoil 17 Hornet, with NO wind etc... so easy shots! NOT bad ammo and im pretty sure its not shooters error.

@TheNightVisionShow Much apreciated. You would imagine the scope does factor in angle, but like I say, I've had two or three questionable misses. Possibly oddball 'bad rounds'... possibly 'shooters error' but all have been at steep angles (I'm talking 40+ feet above the target at 200 meters, so quite a steep angle, where trigonometry would start to play a part). The reason why some don't update is because an update can add features you don't want or more likely, amend or delete features you do like. It can be a catch 22. An update can also contain errors so what worked fine changes.

Fantastic explanation Tim,im now sold on the alpex with my pard ds35 going to take a back seat.1 question though,i understand that C1 is profile C for your .223 but what does the 1 represent, the pard DS35 has only ABC&D only with no numbers afer the letters,cheers🇮🇪

Hi, so C=profile 1= the zero distance within the profile. so you can have C1-100 C1-200 get set different zero distance but thats not needed with the LRF and BC. hope that helps

Hi you can't it's factory set.

@@gregorziegler1015 No the alignment of the LRF depends on your zero position. It's set at the factory so they are all central until you zero and the shift of X and Y of the POI is relative to where the LRF box will reside.

The X and Y coordinates are both adjustable for fine tuning. The one shot zero system allows for fine adjustment once zeroed.

Charging scopes ( or ANY lithium ion battery is not best done over night. It should always be done when you are present and in a place where if it does go pop, you can action or at least, get out. I have been using lith for years and I have never seen any of my cells go into runaway but if it does, you don't want to be close. On board, you have no choice but still take precautions. If your doing 18650's or other size cells, then best use an intelligent charger ( like the one supplied by HIK). Cheapo cells and cheapo charges are not your friends. Over charging is bad. Over discharging is very bad.

factory set. 5 rifles and its all in a good posstion on each profile can all be fixed with mounting hight

@@TheNightVisionShow On the Pard DS Series, the user can move the LRF box to coincide with the laser splash. And even if you like the LRF Box where it is, if lots are asking for it to be movable, it must be an issue that needs fixing. Having to zoom out and back in to range a target makes the scope 'unfit for purpose'

@@TheNightVisionShow Having to change the mounting height for each rifle negates the nice demonstration of swapping it between rifles and keeping a zero. Once you change the mounts to get different heights on different rifles, all bets are off.

Hi just need the speed, BC of the pellet and scope hight, and zero distance, then fine tune and your good to go.

Since this informative vid' was produced (three months ago), HIK have recently (last week) issued corrective updates for all their equipment, which IS causing 'several' instances of the updates producing faulty readouts.!!!!! to their equipment!!!! In conclusion, if its not broken dont fix it. David at Predator Protection UK, is on the case. Buyer beware.

Hi have to go to general settings then you will see an icon thats a circle with 2 waves lines in it thats the language settings.
