@@jaquesravalec242 I'm not sure if you're saying this in the abstract i.e. some people out there have sympathy fatigue or if you personally are experiencing it. Either way my response would be that if your sense of human empathy is fatigued so soon over so little and to such an extent then perhaps you need to reconsider ways of developing greater levels of empathy, thus avoiding said fatigue. The blanket statement used to denigrate large sections of the population fails to appreciate that peoples' circumstances are wildly different. Are there cases like the ones you describe, quite possibly-should that then inform widespread policy-no. Even in those cases, should it be that the children of irresponsible parents are the ones who suffer?
