Commonwealth Secretary General message for International Day of Peace

On the International Day of Peace, the Commonwealth Secretary-General emphasised the importance of peace, highlighting its role in prosperity, security, and equality. Acknowledging the challenges faced by member countries, including geopolitical, economic, and climatic crises, the Secretary-General stressed the need for a broadened collective response. The Secretary-General also announced the launch of the Commonwealth Peace Prize to recognise individuals who embody Commonwealth values, with nominations open for a special ceremony in March 2025.
