Hello! Can you please tell me about the references of the commonwealth shared scholarship? Will the csc directly contact our referees to submit their reference letters? or does the applicant submit the letters to the csc? Your answer will be really valuable.
@profrxАй бұрын
Hello. CSC will contact you to ask your referees to send your reference letter directly to them. They will give you an email address where your reference must submit to. The submission must be made within 2 to 3 weeks.

Hello Mr Yusuff, thanks for hosting this webinar. Concerning the outcomes that I aim to achieve, do I just estimate any percentage or value? For instance, poverty will reduce by 20%?
@profrx2 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely. However, the specific example of reducing poverty by 20% may be too ambitious. You could quantify it by specifying the number of people you aim to reach. Using either a percentage or an absolute value is fine, but ensure it is realistic and achievable.

Listening to Damilola share about his story is so inspiring, and reaffirms that it indeed is a small world. My father was admitted to lakeshore, having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and this made his story even more relatable, talking about Dr Jimoh, and the likes. Lovely. He's truly done well for himself, and the quality of the experiences he has had, alongside his outcomes truly shows the spirit of excellence he operates under. Well done I must say. I would like to ask a question tho, I intend on applying for the scholarship, I have every necessary experience in my sector and the expertise needed, all apart from the publications demanded. I only have 1 research done, which was my University thesis. What do you advise? should I upload that single one alone? and continue with the application? would the application still be relevant without the publications? Looking forward to your response, Thank you kindly!

Hello, it’s Dami. Thank you for the kind words. To answer your question; Yes you should go ahead. There are people who have no publications that have applied and gotten in. If your undergraduate thesis is published too, you should input that too.

Is it a must to apply for universities you want to do a post graduate course in first before applying for the commonwealth scholarship?
@profrx2 ай бұрын
You are not required to have an offer letter from a UK university at the time of your scholarship application. However, it is strongly advised to seek admission to your chosen UK university concurrently with or shortly after submitting your Commonwealth Scholarship application.

What to do after getting offer letter from eligible universities for commonwealth shared scholarship as in offer letter there is nothing about the scholarship
@profrx2 ай бұрын
After receiving an offer letter, you must apply separately for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship through the CSC's online application system before the deadline (12 December 2024, 16:00 GMT). Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria, including citizenship, academic qualifications, and financial need. Gather required documents such as proof of citizenship, transcripts, and references, and inform your university's admissions office about your scholarship application. Universities will nominate candidates in March 2025, and the CSC will confirm eligibility and notify successful applicants. Admission alone does not guarantee the scholarship.
@Nochannel9092 ай бұрын
@profrx I did. I applied to the Universities and almost get an offer from all applied ones then I am also about to complete my CSC application but when I emailed university about my CSC application they said "We don't know what you are taking about." & " So right now we are not accepting your application " What is this. Can you tell in brief how to email them
@profrx2 ай бұрын
@@Nochannel909 It is possible. The Commonwealth Shared Application is only a small part of what the university does, and many staff members may not be aware of it. You don’t need to send an email to anyone. Just follow the guidelines: apply to the university, and include your application ID in your Commonwealth Shared Scholarship application. That’s all. Contacting the university won’t help because only a designated person in the administration handles the scholarship. The person who sees your email might not even know about it. Once you’ve submitted your application to the university and received an offer, include the application ID in your scholarship application. They will link it later. However, having an offer of admission doesn’t guarantee the scholarship; the university must nominate you for it.

@@profrx will the universities prefer to nominate those applicants having unconditional offer letter and whom have accepted the offer. What will be the priority
@profrx2 ай бұрын
For the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, there is no explicit priority given to applicants who already hold an offer of admission, as it is not a requirement at the time of application. However, having an offer is advantageous because it fulfills an essential condition-without an admission offer, you cannot accept the scholarship. By the time nominations are finalized next year, all nominees must have received an offer of admission, whether conditional or unconditional. For those applying now without an offer, they will typically have heard back about their admission status by January or February of the following year, before the nomination process begins. This means that only candidates with confirmed offers at the time of nomination will be considered. While having an offer at this stage is beneficial, it does not confer a significant technical advantage, as all successful applicants are expected to have their offers finalized by the nomination period. If an applicant's admission is rejected, they cannot be nominated for the scholarship.

Hello, If i am applying to 5 schools and in each school i am applying to 2 different courses. How many commonwealth shared scholarships application would I enter. Does one csc application covers all?
@profrx2 ай бұрын
When applying for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, you must submit a separate application through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission's (CSC) online system for each course at each university. This means that if you're applying to 5 universities and 2 courses at each, you will need to complete 10 individual CSC applications. Each application should be tailored to the specific course and institution to which you're applying. It's important to note that while you can apply for multiple courses and universities, you may only accept one offer of a Shared Scholarship.
@profrx2 ай бұрын
If you're applying to multiple universities for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, you must submit separate applications for each university and each course. Here's how it works: CSC Online System: You need to complete one application per course through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission's (CSC) online system. For example, if you're applying to two courses at a single university, you must complete two separate CSC applications. University Applications: In addition to the CSC application, you must also apply directly to the universities for the courses you're interested in. Each university will have its own application process and requirements. So, if you are applying to 5 universities and 2 courses at each, you will need to: -Submit 10 separate CSC applications (1 per course). -Submit 10 university course applications (1 per course). This means you'll manage 20 applications in total, 10 through the CSC system and 10 through the universities' admission portals.

I have an issue filling my application. I have ND, HND and BSc, and as part of the application guidelines, i have to input my academic qualifications. However, while filling my education section, there is no qualification equivalent to my ND in the drop-down list. Should i just include my BSc and HND as BSc equivalent?
@profrx2 ай бұрын
I think the HND and BSc take precedence here, but the BSc is the main qualification. Yes, you can just include the BSc and HND as BSc equivalent in the application. Mention your ND qualification in your CV instead.
