Hi in the x8r KZbin channel they show this process but dont mention using grease. You and another channel I've seen do mention using grease, so I'm wondering which is best. Looking to do this on my vito soon thank you

Mercedes Benz No Longer made to last. Having driven many Van's over the years I've never had to replace anything to do with the gear change mechanism😊. I was almost Tempted to buy a Vito until I realised they were not very well made sadly. I'm sticking with Toyota,s from now on.😊👍👍

Depends on how they are looked after. I mean engines are solid. Mines a 2.2 which has been mapped up to 180bhp and roughly 400nm. it gets pushed more than any van should day to day and it’s now done 200 thousand miles still drives fine
