Hello, do you have any idea why the fopen(t) function keeps running meaning it didn't receive the rising edge (the one we sent)?

Hello Amin, thanks for the video. I tried the steps and everything went well until I got to the time 14:06 where i needed to open the connection using fopen(t). I could not open the connection as the MATLAB keep saying busy. PLease advise on what else i need to check. Could it be a problem with the port? How can i know if the port is free? Also how can i know if the MATLAB can see the PLC? Note: I could ping from the windows command promt(cmd.exe) the PLC address which is already connected to my computer. I could also view the PLC from the Web browser and also communicate with it from TIA portal.

if the ip address is 192.168.131.56 so the port must be 2001 why you choose the port 2000 of 192.168.131.12

When establishing coneection with Matlab and hit fopen(t).it just says BUSY all the time and nothing happens after that. kindly help me out

Hi Ramidi, I have the same problem. However, I am not using Matlab but I have an Industrial Ethernet-based Sensor which needs to be connected to the SIEMENS PLC. Would you please let me know if you have fixed the problem? Regards

I solved it by going offline and online again on TA portal(reestablish connection) also don't forget that TCON req needs to be enable. otherwise, MATLAB will be in busy forever.

I have the same problem, when I run fopen(t) it just runs the program in matlab and stays like this for hours, it never connects, could someone help me please?

But, in my case i can't put the TCON_Req as enable because the user-defined attributes can't be edited...

How did you find the IP address of Matlab computer?

First, Open "Network and Sharing Center" Second, select "Change adapter setting" Third, select "Local Area Connection", properties.. Fourth, choose "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), properties.. Fifth, click "Use the following IP address:" note: set the ip address have the same LAN with your Plc (same first 3 number) PLC ip: 192.168.0.xx your matlab PC ip: 192.168.0.yy Hope you can fix it!!
