i find it really interesting how louis who is usually quite outgoing (in the one direction videos) is so quiet and gentle with harry compared to how he is with the other boys. At the same time louis tends bring out harry’s fun side when he would usually be more of a rule follower back then

It was mentioned several times how Louis let Harry talk, but he doesn't really do that with the other boys. Usually, Louis is very energetic and, like said, isn't afraid to show what he's feeling. But around Harry he's so gentle.

You're so right about Louis being flirtatious by getting in your space, looking at you and sizing you up. He does do that. That's probably why it's an almost famous and funny phenomenon that we call "The Louis effect"; which is basically straight men admitting their love to Louis and almost making him an exception, in more ways than one. It's hilarious sometimes, it's probably very much related to the air around Louis and how he is.

love hearing you talk about louis' energy and how he's almost bursting with it...there's a reason the fandom calls him the sun haha. also louis' low tolerance for boredom and having so many thoughts going on in his head at once is definitely very relatable. he's always been very aware of his surroundings, on stage too

The thing I love that you pointed out is how full of energy Louis is and that's not easy to match this level or stay near him for long. I noticed that myself. And I actually kinda thought he might have some type of ADHD, cuz boy is so hyperactive. Like I didn't see Louis for two years so covid kinda made me forget how he acts irl and then I saw him on festival and realized my eyes got tired of watching him. Like constantly changing mimics, 20 face expressions in 30 seconds.....That's why I always thought Harry was (or is, whatever) such a good partner for him. We know how energetic he is on his shows, but at the same time that Harry is an introvert and quite calm in daily life (from what we see), so this sort of equalize their personalities. Remember all these stories we heard how Harry was the only one who could calm him down when Louis became super energetic and super noisy. I guess that is a good example where introverted and extroverted personalities worked very well together.

I am a fan of H for a decade and i can say he is the most misterious out of all of them. We think we know him but not at all. He remains as misterious as possible while being in the limelight for a decade, impressive really. Louis wasn't party boy or aggressive. He is protective and bold, outspoken asf and very very very flirty, unbearably so. Niall seems happy go lucky bc he gets along with almost everybody but he is the most serious and very intimidating irl. Liam is the goofiest, portrayed as serious one, whaterfights proofs wrong lol he is sensible and quite sassy, very eloquent. Also while h was portrayed as sb who loves older women Liam has actual baby from one. Harry is very attentive, polite, professional man , charming by default but not at all flirty. He almost has this alter ago stage persona created for him. As bold and seductive he can be on stage ,he is also very shy and reserved man in person. I've seen how he struggled with one on one talk to fans, second guess himself or hesitates while stating his opinion. Overall H isn't sb media says he is. Not at all as golden or as lothario as they say. He has negative side as well. Very needy and passive aggressive when he wants to be almost petty when upset, mocking as well but he is a human and we need to have more realistic expectations from people even from sb who is actively portrayed as some sort of demogod golden child lol

But Max did an a great analysis here, he observed small things, their personalities, and their way of speaking to each other.

I think that the reason Louis acted softer with Harry than the other boys was because first of all Harry is the youngest out of the boys, and also he started off as a very sensitive young man. There was this one interview or something in the early days where Harry said that he wanted to be one of those people who didn’t care about what what people thought of him and just have self-confidence, which Louis helped him with. As the oldest of what was at that point five siblings, Louis probably had lots of experience nurturing others and helping them build self-confidence. As for Louis, he was that popular guy character. Got along with everyone (except Liam, at least in the X-Factor House), was charming, funny, kind, and supportive. He was the guy everyone wanted to be friends with, and I think Harry reminded him of being at home with his little siblings, which was a completely new sort of comfort for him, and he reveled in it. Don’t get me wrong, he definitely loved and appreciated his dynamics with the others, but I feel like he was just more naturally attracted to Harry because of that comfort he felt in their dynamic. Like I’m not sure that any of his siblings were his partners in crime nor that they were just happy-go-lucky and loving life right off the bat nor that he and his siblings were fighting over being “the leader” when they were kids, but they for sure felt insecure and pressured to be a specific person sometime in their lives, and Louis was the big brother, the role model, the one any of them could go to for help with those issues, and he was probably consciously groping for any feeling of the environment that he left. I feel like the more he got used to the fact that these were the guys he was spending the next five years with, he kinda started drifting from Harry and gravitating towards Zayn, and after Zayn left, towards Liam, also due to the shippers.

This interview is so cute haha thank you! And I agree with what you said about Louis’ energy!!! He’s honestly so interesting just to watch and listen to, so so much personality. And I love how close and comfortable Louis and Harry were in this. I think at that time the two of them were living together, basically spending every moment with each other, so it’s no wonder they were that close. They were like that from the very beginning (xfactor days) which is why they moved in together in the first place. Ahhh they’re so precious!

You were great at saying everything you thought while remaining neutral, this video is awesome! I am a Larrie but I don’t think that this interview, despite the level of cuteness and flirtation, is one of the undeniable proofs of their relationship because as you said yourself it can be normal to have this more than fraternal relationship at that age, especially since, besides working together every day, the two of them were the only two band members living together. The importance of this interview in Larry culture lies in the fact that it is the first and only one where it’s the two of them alone, from then on they have not been allowed to be interviewed the two of them alone. Even during the 1D day (7 hours of live TV), in which every hour was entrusted to two members of the band, the only ones who have not had their own time together are Harry and Louis. The coca cola commercials? Only the two of them didn't do one together. The video you analyzed, among other things, even though it dates back to 2012 was published just a couple of years ago because the management at the time had blocked its publication (there is another part of the interview that was released in 2012 and that was even cuter and more flirtatious than this). So the interview is an important "proof" for us more for all the consequences it caused than for the way they flirted to be honest 😂 sorry if I dwelt a lot and in not perfect English, but I love your videos, your way of analyzing everything and as I said this video is really fantastic! ❤️

It does seem as though Louis is very hands on. Not only in this interview. I once saw a picture of Louis with his sisters, the twins. He had a big smile on his face and the twins were sitting on his lap and they were all hugging! He looked so happy! I thought it was a great tangible representation of his relationship with his sisters and his overall personality ! It was sweet. He's my favorite! And I think he's the best looking one too! Thank you for bringing us these reactions, even though I might believe in Larry myself I appreciate that you’re not taking sides and simply explain what you see and pick up on from a professional view. When people react and analyze with the goal of convincing someone (either that it’s true or not), you often get half of it wrong. I love your reactions and would love to see more! Personally I would really appreciate more Harry/Louis content but it would be great if you’d to react to the boys different dynamics with each other, for example Liam and Harry vs Liam and Niall etc. Maybe someone would be willing to make a compilation where you can analyze how they interact with each other differently? At last I just want to point out that I don’t think just their interactions prove that they are/were more than friends, there is faaar more signs that you have to be aware of to understand why all these people believe in it so strongly. I love your videos and I have never been as quick to click as when I saw this! The thing I love about your videos is total neutrality: you just explain what you see by highlighting signs without pretending to know for sure what is going on. It’s a scientific observation. I believe in Larry so I really appreciate even more a point of view so professional and at the same time neutral. I love the way you understand Louis' energy, the way he is flirty and the way they both relate to each other. Louis is always super aware of what's going on around him and, as you pointed out, he decides when to let others take the lead or when to step in. Precisely for this reason it would be SUPER INTERESTING if you reacted to the countless times in which during the interviews the guys were asked to deny their relationship (and in my opinion it always got worse and worse) because Louis has always taken the responsibility of managing the situation while Harry would close into himself without ever saying a single word. I think it would be really interesting to analyze the body language of those situations that no doubt (regardless of whether their relationship is real or not) always made everyone uncomfortable. 8:43 I already commented yesterday so sorry if I go back to writing here but in my first comment I forgot to write something that actually I already wanted to tell you from the previous videos (I don't know if anyone has already explained this to you). It's not about Larry, it's just about Louis. One of the things I love most about your videos is how you can really feel Louis' energy and how much he contains himself. The first time you reacted to a 1D video (in their fatus era) you identified Louis as the leader because of his energy and how he naturally attracted all attention to him. I have noticed that every time you say that he is letting Liam or Harry take command of the situation (true), because even though he often steps aside, he is still the leader and the only one super aware of their surroundings. . Another thing I've noticed is how surprised you are that Louis is always trying to contain his energy and his reactions despite his body language being often an open book. You are missing a fundamental passage between the former Louis who called himself flamboyant and the Louis who tries in every way to contain himself. In late 2011 (after xfactor and just before the release of the first album) the day after a 1D performance in which Louis had been particularly energetic and flamboyant, Simon put him on a plane and summoned him alone to Los Angeles to "put it back in line". The official explanation given by Simon years later is that Louis had had a few beers that night ... all the boys had been drinking, all had particularly enjoyed themselves that night, but only Louis was called from London to LA and back only to be brought back in line. In fact, since that day Louis has never been the same, he has started to hold back more and more and his image has radically changed ... so much so that in the last two years of the band his public image in the headlines has become " the aggressive and selfish party-boy "

Yes, thank you for stating this! The more contained and self closing Louis we have now was not the Louis we started with. And although people may change and we learn of certain things I feel like Simon put a tight chain on Louis and challenged him against Harry. Challenging meaning dangling things in front of Louis to keep him in check. Louis became more reserved and it so obvious. Especially if you’ve payed attention to the content we were given and have simply analyzed without being bias of a relationship.

fun fact that no one asked for but it's 3:35am so I'm gonna say ut anyway. before I knew anything about them(1d and solo) i got hs1 and listened to it the first time.I built a story in my head and it was just what I thought had happened to create those songs. then,I got Walls,listened to it and thought 'dang they are telling the same story with different pov'. then,I saw the video diaries and was like 'yeah they def were a couple'. and then found out about everything else and how it's a 'conspiracy' that many saw since the beginning. I don't know uf they are together now,but I think they had a long relationship that push-and-pull kinda relationship, so they had great impact on each other and grew together. maybe they're not together now,maybe they never were, but I just wish they will get happier and more at peace with everything in their lives ,day by day.

Too be honest, I've always thought about Larry as like a little brother and big brother type bond. Like Harry was kind of like the little brother who admired and kind of looked up to Louis and showed he had his back. And Louis was kind of like the older brother who would listen to Harry and show that he had his back also. They definitely did have a strong connection, but not in an intimate way.

I’m a 50 year old happily married man for 25 years, with three sons. --- There is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind whatsoever that these two were at one time madly in love. Whether they’re still “in love” or not, they’re soul mates. It cannot be denied. There is so much undeniable evidence and even legitimate proofs of their relationship, it’s almost overwhelming. I know some people said they’re happy you didn’t look at a compilation video, but I believe you should. Not a flashy one that’s manipulated, but straight solid videos of countless things like song lyrics, body language, physical touch, looking at each other, tattoos, tweets, geographical “ coincidences”, clothes, similarities in so many things, blatant flirting, and did I mention touching? I too thought they were really brothers but seeing Harry this year 2023 concert made me unsure of his true orientation so since I've been researching found out at the start of his relationship with Louis. As early as 2011 when 1D started early that year, the 3 boys (then live in one house) while the 2 live together (H & L). Many ships (or pairings came up) but the loudest was H & L. You're right when you said there was a great change in Harry came the ff year 2012, Louis is the rowdy, Dennis the Menace-type doing mischievous things to 1D members & no formality. Harry has cultivated the art of evading questions, mysterious, and elusive so people get more curious about him. Earlier, I ran into narrative news that they enjoyed (only the 2 of them) so much their 3-day trip to the Leeds Festival in Aug. 2011 where though they were not so famous then having just started, some fans recognized them. I've noticed that Harry is fully present in the moment and not inside his own head whatsoever in almost all of the interviews he's ever done and practically any other situation imaginable. It's like an extroverted superpower that he has, allowing him to fully engage in whatever is happening, and he seems to have zero anxiety or anticipatory preoccupation. He clearly had that ability as a kid (even in his first X Factor audition), but was generally more restless and distractable. Now as an adult, he's retained his impressive hyper-engaged, observational nature and is even more laid back. The only time I've seen Harry look particularly nervous was when he shot a music video in a random fan's house full of roommates on the James Corden show, and James told the fan to just invite a bunch of random friends who were all in varying degrees of fan hysteria once they got there. Even then, he seems to recover and acclimate immediately, mirroring the chaos with his facial expression for added humor. I was about 6 years late on the Harry train and missed One Direction entirely, but since becoming a Harry fan, I often think about him as a kind of personal role model with regards to his ability to be so present, because I would really love to be able to fully engage in my surroundings more often, without living in my thoughts as much as I always have. Both Louis and Harry seem to have complementary types of intensity, with Louis always keeping things moving and Harry facilitating an effortless flow. I was too old for One Direction, but I will sometimes watch videos of the band just for that hit of carefree goofball hilarity and to live vicariously in that dynamic for a bit. I didn't get many opportunities for companionship or lighthearted fun myself as a teen, and I also barely know anyone in my personal life who I would describe as being that much fun- I admit I'm a little jealous of One Direction sometimes. Also, boybands live a very specific kind of existence, I feel. As a woman, it's something almost unimaginable to me. Things certainly would never have been the same for a girlband. It's pretty special what Harry and his bandmates had, especially Harry and Louis.

I y comment could be a bit annoying to some but I concur with you: I just see a bromance where your friends are the most important thing in the world. Let’s also remember that Louis is two years older than Harry and one part of him protects him at the same time that he gives his attention to Harry so he can talk. It’s sad that ppl thought the romantic side of the friendship and this made them separate by their own accord and by the management. If you see, unless everyone is in say, an interview, they are together. If you find an interview after this one of only Harry and Louis, it will make me smile
