Object-Relations Theory Psychology fits surprisingly really well into Communal Ontology! Should check it out, I personally think it's the most effective form of therapy but also seeing how Communal Ontology presented by Telosbound seems to almost fit as a philosophical mirror of the theory is fascinating

I think it is true that being is related to other Aquinas talk about it but what about the "I" and "mine" I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me. John 10:14 Mother did not love her child because he/she is other but he/she is her own, he/she is "her child" This is where I think the west got it right about Divine Simplicity and the Good Shepherd

The self is entirely subjective. It's an illusion. Subjectivity is illusory

@@telosbound Yeah this I don’t think is entirely correct Now, the independent self is an illusion since nothing can really be understood apart from the background that it exists in. However, he seems to have forgotten that we view everything through our experience, which is subjective to at least some extent.

Why?
@1stdebunker10 ай бұрын
@@telosbound Yes. We are beings, but our subjectivity is entirely illusory. “Self” Deception. The most fundamentally misunderstood concept of all. I mean this in the most literal sense. “Self” deception is this same, is and ought conundrum. Self is the collapsation and negation of being. Entirely. What is the self, other than a completely subjective perception? This conundrum is at the root of all psychopathologies. The self is merely the subjective means of denying reality. A group of constructions created to enclose reality is unnecessary. If one makes the daunting choice to reject their ignorance, they risk throwing their being into a hell of their own creation. Imagined structures that pervert the Real.

@@dunadan7136 Experiences are subjectively had, and entirely impossible to test. I was not conflating individual experience with sense of self

@JunkyJeeMail We're objective beings. Some of us objective beings, choose to adopt the subjective "self" as a means of understanding the world around them. I'm not saying others don't have this sense of "self". I'm merely saying it's entirely unnecessary. Truth exist btw
