The guest stars on this are pretty epic. Michael Ironside plays the Colonel. He was in movies like Top Gun, Total Recall, Starship Troopers and voiced Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell games. Leslie Hendrix is the Botany teacher who performs the yam autopsy, and was the medical examiner on all of the Law and Order shows (Original, Special Victims, Criminal Intent), Also, the quote "A man has to have a code" was Omar's motto on The Wire, Michael Kenneth Williams played Omar. Finally, go back to the scene where the group is in the court yard, eating hot dogs. Look in the background and you'll see a man and a woman "discretely" exiting the doors together, having just done something naughty. This was not scripted.

As a Community fan from start to finish, through thick and thin, I say you should watch and react to season 4. It's not as bad as rumor says, and even most of us who griped admit it's pretty fun. It's weaker than the others but still worth watching. Do not fear season 4. It's solid fun.

On season 4 I saw someone else explain it really well. Its the worst season of community, by no means does that mean its a bad season. Any other show ie. Big bang theory etc would absolutely KILL to have one of their seasons be that good. It just isn't quite as good as the sheer PERFECTION of previous seasons. So yes, don't miss it, its still a good season.

Season 4 is awesome. Its the weakest but its STILL community. Plus the ending of the season is full of good character development of Jeff and it has an episode where everyone is puppets lol. The hate towards season 4 is the justified anger at how Dan Harmon was treated and kicked off his own show. I get it, but the show is more than harmon, its the other writers and the actors who bring the characters to life. So yes season 4 is the weakest, but not garbage to be skipped. Not to mention you frequently have alluded to a Britta Troy ship and I personally was looking forward to your season 4 reaction with this in mind. Been here since the beginning of your reactions to Always Sunny and I love those and these reacts and I certainly hope you do react to season 4

Casual fans seem to mention just Harmon. You didn't mention that many others left after Dan was fired. Russo Brothers left, Dino Stamatopoulos left, so did Chris McKenna, Andrew Guest, Hilary Winston, and Emily Cutler. That amount of talent gone is impossible to not notice in Season 4. Halloween episode is okay, but rest is 90% garbage including a terrible lore destroying episode. Still better than Glee & BBT though 👍😎

You should watch season 4. It might not be as good as the other seasons, but it's still pretty solid imo. There are a handful of episodes that season that I actually think are really good. And you'll be missing a couple of important things if you just skip it. It's only 13 episodes, you might as well just watch it.

Season 4 is worse than the other seasons of Community, but it’s still better than like 90% of TV that’s out there, the show just sets a very high bar. I will usually watch the whole series straight through without skipping anything when I do a rewatch. The main issue is that Dan Harmons writing isn’t there anymore, so the plots tend to be less clever, but the main cast is still intact so they still do good on their delivery and chemistry, which I feel was the true core of the show. Once we get to later seasons and start losing members of the group I feel like that impacted overall watchability far more than the dip in writing of season 4 did.

Watch all of community you won't regret it ( some episodes are definitely better than others but its the same with any tv show) . Season 4 is not trash, i would say it might be even better then season 6. JIm Rash (dean) wrote one of the best eps of the series in ep.11 and season 4 is the last time the original cast is together. The season premiere, the halloween ep, the thanksgiving ep, the origin ep and the herstory of dance ep are all good to great eps that should not be missed. Do not skip season 4 reactions, it's alot better then people make it out to be.

Season 4 is good, don't skip it! It has probably some of the worst episodes in the series, but it also has some really, really amazing ones. At the very least, watch 3,5,8,9,11, and 12. For me, season 4 and season 1 are similar quality. In season 1, they had to find their footing and there are some fairly weak episodes (when compared to the rest of the series.) Season 4 is kinda similar, they struggle to really nail every episode, but there are some real good ones.

I've watched every single episode of Community, including S4, at least 3 times. I don't regret watching any of it. Except Intro to Felt Surrogacy. I hate that episode. I'm not saying other people shouldn't like it, but I absolutely hate it lol. But now that I've watched it so much, there are a few episodes that I generally skip. The Art of Discourse is the only one in Seasons 1-3 I skip. I skip the last 3 episodes of S5, episodes 6, 8, 9, 10 in S6, and all but 1, 5, 7, and 11 of S4. Again, just stating my opinion, don't go roasting me for not liking one of your favorite episodes lol

There are going to be people who defend season 4. I respect their opinions, but this whole "season 4 is underrated" movement is just contrarian self-delusion. Yes, it has great actors working with professional Hollywood writers, it's not incompetent. But it's not Community. There are some good moments, and it easily matches other sitcoms in quality, but Community is not just another sitcom. So it should still be watched, but I'd personally appreciate it if you skipped the reactions. There are also people who say Season 4 is as good, or even better, than season 5 & 6. Again, I respect those opinions, because they're just opinions, but I can't possibly see how anyone who pays attention to the writing could say that. Even with the dramatic decrease in budget for season 6, the writing is amazing and I've watched every episode of that season maybe 5 to 10 times and still find it hilarious. Season 4 may as well be Big Bang Theory.

JIm Rash wrote one of the best episodes of community in season 4 and if anyone who knows more about community then dan harmon and the russos is Academy Award winning writer, Jim Rash. I would also say Season 4 is the last time we see the orignal cast together and it's very sad when that realization comes at the season ending ep. The season has some stinkers but the season premiere, the halloween ep, the thanksgiving ep, the origin ep and the herstory of dance ep and the season ender are some of the later seasons best episodes.

Nobody is defending season 4 by saying the writing is better, because it obviously isn’t. But there ARE things to like about it, mainly that we still have a fully intact cast. Yes, Dan Harmon played a critical part in making community what it is, but making a tv show is not a solo project, and every member of the cast also contributes something to what makes it work, something that we will start to lose as the series goes on and cast members start dropping like flies. You stake the entire value of the show on the writing, when the chemistry and delivery of that writing is equally important.
