Yo soy profesor de karate , cuando era mas joven hacia mortal , flic flac y otras acrobacias mas pero nunca me salió el flare ( en mi pais le llamamos olimpica ) . Justo hace unos meses he vuelto a practicar mis acrobacias . Ya volvi a sacar mi flic flac , mortal hacia adelante , b twist , aerial , etc . Ver al muchacho me ha motivado , he comenzado desde hoy ( tengo 41 ) . Me ha salido hasta caer de nalgas y en una casi paso hacia atras . Pienso que para ser primera vez despues de tantos años no esta nada mal . Espero llegar hasta pasar hacia atras en un mes ...eso espero . Nunca pense tener esta fuerza y agilidad para la edad que tengo . La gran mayoria de mi edad incluso practicando karate estan físicamente muy mal de salud , obesos y con muchas dolencias ....gracias muchachon por servir de animo para este jovencito de 41 😅

Okay first off, in order to be able to properly complete a flare, you need a certain level of physical strength and flexibility. I feel that I need to mention this because I breakdanced for years when I was younger and literally no one I learned from ever said that. I know in hindsight it should have been pretty obvious, but whenever anyone i learned from taught me, they would just be like “oh, you just do it like this” and then they do 500 million air flares all the way down the street. Just putting this out there for any new potential breakers getting into it. Don’t give up and keep at it. Bless up 🤙

@@toheeb07 for a start, sit on the floor upright with both legs together stretched out straight in front of you. Lean forward and try to grab your toes. Even better if you can grab the soles of your feet. If you can get your head to your knees, I’d say you’d be just about ready. Secondly would be hip flexibility. The wider you can spread your legs, the easier it is to gain and hold momentum to pull off flares. Almost all breakdance power moves will require you to be able to hold this form. Having a strong core is also important. This will allow you to keep control of your lower body while you are mid air. Hope this helps 🤙🏽
