My theory is the main reason why they're not showing anything abt Reactivate and are being silent is because they're revamping the entire game after backlash from other recent live service games like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Star Wars: Outlaws. If that is the case, then they could drop the live service element and just focus on making it a true TF game for everyone to enjoy

Warframe is, in my opinion, the best, and most truly free to play, free to play game available right now. Warframe stays free by producing high quality cosmetic options for purchase and, most importantly, by actually being a really good and incredibly fun third person shooter with no pay to win a thousands of hours of high quality content. You basically only pay to look pretty, which also supports the continued development of the game so you can keep enjoying it

As someone who has worked on a ton of different independent productions I can tell you that it really is no walk in the park, usually you’ll have to be paired up with a whole group of people and many of them will have different ideas on how their final production should be like. Everything from the animation, the script and even the casting can take months and even years, not to mention it’s even more stressful if you get given a deadline. So hearing hearing the production span of Transformers Reactivate makes me feel bad for the people at Splash damage, who are most likely being told by hasbro many different ideas for how they want this next transformers game to be. I really wouldn’t be surprised if the game was delayed at best, or just flat out cancelled either.

The toys, while awesome, are a pretty solid indicator that this game was going to be launched as a Games as Service game like Suicide Square or the Marvel game. That could be an indicator as to why there is a delay as they rework the entire game to strip the live service out.

I also think a problem is that they updated their website, removed part of it, and unlisted the trailer. So with them removing so much of it, it feels like they want us to forget about it and erase it. But that makes us more worried of it being cancelled. I think the best to do is to make a video or a post assuring people it hasn’t been cancelled and maybe drop a poster or art or something for us to see. Usually when they start removing stuff from the public, thats when things become very worrying.

The truth is that Hasbro hired the cheapest studio they could find to make this game, which ended up being under-qualified for the task. Same reason why the Netflix series ended up the way it did. I mean, this thing started as a Certain Afinity project. Like really? They’re a supportive studio, they’re the ones you hire to alleviate SOME of the jobs for the main studio making the game, NOT TO MAKE THE WHOLE GOD DAMN THING!!!!!! This would be the equivalent of you opening a small repair shop and then one day freaking Ferrari hires you to develop their new F1 car from scratch.

Although if they were put on game pass with a functional multiplayer I definitely would go recapture some of those fond memories. I'm pretty sure the toys got released because somebody had leaked them out of Asia and was scalping them for $100 for an individual figure on ebay. I know I saw Optimus and Soundwave on ebay. But usually when toys leak like that, they release them early.

this actually happens in the gaming industry all the time. Especially with the smaller companies. They'll have a hype man, usually an executive, that'll promise the world. The developers, the actual people who make the game, will then say they don't have the time or resources to deliver all of that. So then the game is delayed and has to be scaled back and refocus. This game should have been a free-to-play mobile game. But the hype man got to somebody at Hasbro and they were convinced to sink time and money into a toy line, full scale video game and who knows what other projects they had in the works

The toys being released this early doesn’t help it much like we don’t have a release date and barely any new news yet the toyline is out already kinda. IF this game comes out I’d imagine they’d have to reissue these figures as it’s big name characters and I doubt they’ll be in stock when/if the game comes out There’s gotta be a 2024 update like hey this is still alive and well don’t worry see you in 2025/26 something to show it’s not dead in the waters. (Also game wise hasbro maybe chirp at activision to fin that drive or maybe remaster the war for cybertron games as that’s a classic bag to cash, there’s the gamer edition to go along side a remaster as well)

They could be pushing it back to 2025 so they have a major project each year with Rotb in 2023 tf one 2024 and reactive 2025 and the next movie 2026. They could also be taking time to rework the game and it could come out late 2025 for the holidays.

IDC what anyone says but when splash damage mentioned they didn't have anything for the game awards or last game fest I knew we weren't gonna get the game because the lack of marketing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this but this is a problem when it comes to most games they announce a game then wait till years for any new updates it's like the wolverine, blade and wonder woman game trailer that came out years later, like where's the updates? Why are you getting my hopes up to only blue balls me or have me forget about the game. Games fr need to 80% done then announce it because it's just unnecessary to get people hype by announcing it early.

If you show a cinematic trailer wait 1 or possibly multiple years without any news or gameplay that's a red flag. If only update your presenting involves starting from scratch another red flag I personally see. Think about the multiple superhero games that were announced years ago and got no update like Wolverine, Blade, Wonder woman and Ironman. How long ago did those trailers came out because as of right now there is no word from those companies. If it takes leakers to keep fans up to date more than them I'm mostly glad we have them because most of fans would've forgotten about it. I think the development has been so hard they're still far from finishing it and they don't cancel it right away because of embarrassment, as it's Transformers's 40th anniversary. It will be even worse if this is like Redfall, where the developers were forced to make that game and many of them chose to leave the studio instead.

Regardless of what people are feeling about the game being delayed, I continue to have hope that the game will release and be a good game as I for one will enjoy playing it when it finally does release if splash damage say the game will not ever come out in their own words, but the game is done then and only then will I not have hope but no one will extinguish my hope I will continue to have hope that this game will release till the very end as I am a diehard transformers fan and I would encourage other transformers fans to continue to have hope as the saying goes Rome was not built in a day

The game is likely quietly cancelled, and if it wasn't in December, it is likely now. The game was probably way too similar to Suicide Squad, then they saw the rapid decline of it and decided to cut their loses and cancel all production of it and divert their funding and development teams to their other games.

Yeah I have little doubt it has been scrapped, they just won’t announce anything until they complete the toy line, which is exactly what Hasbro are all about. If we get great, but a live service game, 🤮 it’s disappointing disaster written all over it.
