Finally a bigger channel promoting raised planters. 👍 The only thing you've done differently to my 15planter design is add a 5th sprinkler. 4 sprinklers is all you need to keep the water maxed assuming you're using perfect clones. And noteing for the viewers cloning is best completed before adding the raised planters.

@@dodgeskitz87 there is a way to use sprinkler as efficient you can and teaguytom says you can give 3 ml water to 5 planter box on 10 sec So when you think about it, there is no waste on the water. I don't know how it works on this guys design tho.

Raised planters are so nice. A year ago I did a 4x3 design that that used 6 sprinklers and 4 lights. I loved it

just an fyi for anyone building this base... I'm not sure if this is a new bug or not, but all floors need to be planted at the same time or you need to keep hemp on the top level. I had berries growing on the 2nd floor and planted hemp on the 1st. when I harvested the berries I couldn't replant them because the hemp from the 1st floor was growing into the planters and blocking me.

I'm also developing 3 designs based off this that are fully livable. One is a 6x9x3 design of base based off this stacking technique incorporating a suicide bunker that's a minimum 30 rocket raid to tc. Other design uses a triangle core suicide bunker with 1 of the 3x3 farms off each side of the triangle. Still playing around with that design because it can either be from a cheaper build/raid at 26 rockets to tc or other triangle that's more expensive(really meant for zergs) that's a 50 rocket to take tc but only 20-30 rockets to clear loot without breaching other 2 champers or small inner boxes.

TL:DR I don't recommend this build. The stacked planters are very annoying to interact with and this video offers no explanation on how to go about planting and harvesting with this setup. This video does not explain the placement of the pumps very well. Four pumps easily fit inside of an empty square surrounded by foundations. The order of foundations and pumps doesn't matter. What matters is how far the pumps stick out of the water. If you are building in a swamp, you shouldn't have to worry, but if you are building in a river or in the ocean, the pumps need to be in as shallow of water as possible. I went ahead and built this on a river, only to find my pumps cannot be used as a boost for my second layer. I cannot interact with my second layer of planters without doing a silly little jump, hitting my ceiling, and trying to plant seeds my spamming left-click. I have no clue how I would even harvest these. Another thing this video fails to explain is how to interact with the planters. Even if I could interact successfully with my second layer, I don't know how I would fill the corners of any layer. I had troubles getting seeds into the far corners. I don't even know if I would be able to harvest them.

I ended up building right after vid launched there is 1 major issue I ran into, watering to keep 100%. with the vid's sprinkler placement I was never able to get the corners properly watered (worked sometimes but glitches others on rusty moose server. Even on the off occasion it would work with that sprinkler layout, you didn't get even watering to get100%. Instead, I relocated sprinklers and needed 8 sprinklers per 3x3 but still wouldn't get 100% water bonus as I'd have to settle with always on. Any advice to get 100% water on this build? Also, for those asking how you harvest corners, it's not a problem. You can reach planting every square and to harvest/clone you just hold e and harvest/clone all. On the off chance you accidentally harvest the accessible one without doing all, just plant anything in it's place (if something that needs to be cleared after use similar plant type) and wait a few min and you can use function again to do all.

@@Milkisu_u I was able to get sprinklers to work properly. It's all about placement. The only problem is getting it just right is so difficult it's not worth it. Ended up just designing pumps to be in separate room since I scaled it up I needed more space for em anyways.

heya, i find planterboxes on half-wall floor hard ro navigare (how to plant seeds for the one in corners?) i think next time maybe i will try to add half wall on top of normal walls and maybe this will help and allow to move on that half-floor? i wonder what is your experience with using planters in corner, maybe i do sth wrong?

you should be able to plant the seeds in the corner, just dont use the corner ones to get your clones, use the one at the door as you can easily see all of the slots. for the ones in the corners on the shelf just crouch jump on the pumps and you should be able to reach them. I just tested and was able to plant all the seeds

I have Problem that the Planters in the Corner get Water very slow, i have 4 Sprinklers to one Pump connected behnid a purifier and a waterpump, do the sprinklers be so very in the middle ?? i have them a little bit more spread so they reach corners better i thought.... pls help

Planting them can be a little tricky, but when u get the hang of it it's pretty doable 👩‍🌾when harvesting, simply harvest all at once by holding e 😉

Always use harvest all and clone all. Another tip would be to plant the front seeds last, that way they are always last to get ripe. Also crossbreed perfect clones before adding the raised planters.
