These are all so good for compact vigorous growers! And the flowers really are beautiful! I love to see them in masses on trees around in Florida as they are really hardy too! Great video!

Hi, I got one recently from Lowe’s it was discounted bag baby but it look ok not damage it’s my first one of this kind of orchid, you made me happy to know it’s easy to grow, hopefully it’s flowers in the future will give flowers with fragrance, mine is yellow bird brassavola hibrid Richard Mueller, good to know it doesn’t need to much water but mine looks like it dries in 2 days it’s in bark chips I’m thinking in adding some spagnum moss to it but not sure yet.. what do you think I’m a novice with this kind of orchid
@NicoleDeanna13 күн бұрын
You picked a good one to start out with. Using moss comes down to your environment I'd say. If the orchid dries very quickly in bark moss will help you out and you'll water less 💗

Please do a series on each one of your orchids and how you got it to flower call it DENDROBIUM FLOWERING SECRETS, CATTLEYE FLOWERING SECRETS, how many years it took for it to flower and secrets, tricks and tips, temp, feed water location etc etc on how to get them to flower. what month they flower. I've asked many many many growers people etc I get vague answers. Please do this series on everything but phals, I feel like phals are the only ones who flower easily. Thanks (I've had orchids for over a year, still no flowers and here you are with flowers galore.)

There's a lot of variation on these so it's tough to get specific, but I can make a more general guide like this 👍

hi, I'm very interested to grow B nodosa hybrids indoors ( ones with 50% parentage)but a lot of information from online sellers have indicated that they usually bloom during fall. What have been your experiences so far with the hybrids, are you seeing a pattern of free flowering throughout the year or are these only limited to certain ones you have mentioned?
@NicoleDeannaАй бұрын
@@derekcheah they usually grow throughout the year! My little stars bloomed last month. Sometimes I see them in the fall as well :)

How man you keep the Brassavolas and their hybrids at home? What sort of themperatures you have. These are suposed to be Hot growing.
@NicoleDeanna4 ай бұрын
My temps usually don't go below 60-65 at night and during the day it's 75-95 degrees depending on the time of year. I don't have ac running in the plant room in the summer.
@markvaldes29374 ай бұрын
Do you have any recommendations for brassavola that bloom with less light?
@NicoleDeanna4 ай бұрын
From my experience I feel like cattleyas need good light generally. I haven't tried growing them in lower light conditions. A little grow light can help immensely, even a little clip on one!
