Love the way everything is accessible from the top. Many kits you have to remove everything to get to specific tools, which would be fine for an emergency kit, but not for one that you need to work out of regularly.

Thanks! Yes, I think that's the difference between someone that actually uses their tools and someone that just totes them around. I want to be using my tools and not fussing with finding them buried in the tool bag.

Great tool pack. This is probably the most functional kit I've seen anyone share on YT. I really like the bag you're using and the use of magnetics. Cool idea I'm going to copy. I can also really utilize the Oiler Pen you shared. I'm going to pick that up. Thanks for sharing. Sub'd.

@@joruckus thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. I’ve learned a lot from looking at other people’s kits that they’ve shared on KZbin so glad I’m able to share some of my ideas with others to use.

I used to use one of those Klein pouches but switched over to the Milwaukee zip pouches you find at Home Depot. The gusseted bottom allows more volume and can stand upright. The organization from that accordion pouch is nice but I admit to preferring the increased volume and being able to fit more since the pockets take up space. Nice selection, however!

Yes you can definitely pack more into those zip pouches. I still use them quite a bit for toting tools around. I’ll have to check out those Milwaukee pouches. Being able to stand them up and see inside sounds like a nice feature.

Thanks! I actually just checked lastnight to see if there are any pouches like it that might work better. I think the one I’ve got is still my pick. Well made and good features.

This is a very good tool kit man 👍 Picked up some tools for mine and suggesting adding duck tape, tiny level, magnifier glass, small bic lighter, pucket ruler (straight edge), Walmart has small hammer with some screwdrivers in it and don't know what else... I understand space and weight limits. Just a thought.

@@ralphbro thanks! You’ve got some good recommendations on there. A level, straight edge, and lighter are great recommendations that I don’t carry in my EDC sling bag. I’ve got one of those credit card sized magnifying glasses that I keep on my wallet. I haven’t used it yet but it’s super compact and could definitely come in handy.

Great little kit! Imo this condenses down a lot of what people have into a much smaller package. I love vids like this. Often people carry way too much stuff or duplicates of things, ie when I see vids of people with like 20 screwdrivers I just think of how bulky the setup is lol. But love this setup here. ;D

Thanks! My brother and I both love putting together practical kits to solve the actual problems that we encounter. I love watching these sort of videos but when I’ve tried to build my kit like the ones I see online I find they don’t work practically as well as I’d like. I left some room in my current kit to add things as needed but always trying to trim out redundancy. @toddparker on KZbin has excellent videos on eliminating redundancy if you haven’t seen his stuff yet. Thanks for the comment!

hard to find a good accordion style organiser bag. yours would be even better if you could have the option to open it wide open so it can lay flat on a table, like a notebook but rotated sideways. that way you can visually flip through the different items. then when done, the side flaps can be zipped back to it’s accordion mode. i have a similar bag from alpaka, but just like yours, it would be better if i could open it fully so i don’t have to rifle around to find certain edc items.

It could be we just need to create our own case. I’ve seen some of those alpaca cases online but have never handled one in person.

You should look at the Vanquest FTIM 6x9. Can open from the top of zip all the way out and has tons of elastic straps and pockets on the inside for tools. Its what I use for my EDC tool kit and its been stellar for me.

That's pretty slick. I've got a Vanquest sling bag that I love. I didn't think to try some of their other carry solutions for the mini toolkit. It almost looks like a mini version of a veto backpack bag. I like the tech organizer that I'm currently using because the tool scan just drop in and out of their storage slots without having to stretch open an elastic strap. Writing that down makes me sound like I'm super lazy but I use my tools enough that those extra steps get to be annoying.

yeah thats not compact at all...and most of them you can find in smaller type and use them. its a cheap and useless one since i dont see you taking this on a carry, where EDC counts. EDC means what you cary everyday and use, half of that is just tools, its not EDC, and if you know how to you can compact them so much that you dont feel themand its not that bulky. and also you never put everything in one bag, cause you might loose it. you have tiers of safety. checkout urban prepper or Jon gadget for how to make a EDC, and you have multiple depending on the sittuation, a do it all is not that great!
