Yeah, I’ve also experienced a frozen window while playing back some of my low-res AAC files 🤔. However, I’ve never had this issue with any of my hi-res files 👍🏻. Using the balanced audio cable (Shaling’s proprietary 3.5mm-to-4.4mm balanced audio cable adapter) really enhances the sound quality. I think it’s a must-have accessory! It’s a bit disappointing that Shaling didn’t include it in the player’s box, so you have to purchase it separately. For those who struggle with reading long file names on the small screen, here’s a tip: simply swipe left on the file name from the center of the screen, and it will start scrolling. It can be a bit tricky, but this method works well 👍🏻.

Cool vid. I was looking for a small (preferably tiny) bluetooth MP3 player for the gym, need something that pairs well with my sony xm4s. Any recommendations? Or will this suffice?

Yes this player will work. It is a bi-directional Bluetooth device. Which means you can use it to your Bluetooth Headphones, or use it to connect to your phone and listen to the music via wired headphones too

@@curtpw Yes I may do follow up videos on this. Sound quality test here doesn't make much sense though as KZbin videos are heavily compressed and you won't be able to hear the different. It is capable of driving high impedance large Hi-Fi headphones.

Plus some of the other devices I had lagged and dropped bluetooth connections and kept reconnecting. So things like that are concerns for me.

​@@curtpw I think this little player sounds amazing! Especially if you have good headphones. I even used Sennheiser HD560s and HD6xx series and was surprised by its sound quality! You will not be disappointed! Not to mention it supports lossless and hi-res! If you have android phones and bluetooth headphones that supports LDAC, you will be able to enjoy high bitrate wirelessly!

It's designed for people who really cares about audio quality as it supports lossless or Hi-Res audio files with much higher power output than regular phones / mp3 players so it can properly drive high impedance large headphones. Not to mention it can also be used in USB DAC mode to be used as a computer external audio device, or iPhone / Android phone external DAC for large Hi-Fi headphones. There's a niche market for such devices :) I guess most people are happy with bluetooth wireless music and not this speciality device.

I got mine from CDs via MacOS > Music > Copy CD in AAC format, or Lossless format. Or you can buy music from Apple iTunes Music Store.
