Great review. I swear, you review things that really make sense in a garage gym. It’s appreciated 💪🏼

@@reillykurl very nice. I actually them in the early 2000s with Whitesnake and Scorpions. It was at a full size arena and seemed to be almost sold out show, not the casinos these bands would later play. They were probably on another level in the 80s. Very underrated band for sure.

I have the Powertech version of this machine, mine is fantastic, very solid & not flimsy, great addition to any home gym

I have the Titan Fitness version of this machine, I’ve been using it regularly for a year now. Solid piece of equipment, I go hard and heavy on it normally as a second leg exercise after barbell squats. I wish mine had the shoulder pad attachment and more adjustments for the foot plate and back rest like this one has.

Nice review, your channel has lots of great info. You do a great job. I have an old school Atlantis compact leg press. It’s a great piece for a home gym. No hack option but I’ve loaded over 500 lbs on it and get a great leg workout on it. I use it weekly and I have a cable belt squat but like the seated option as it’s easier to focus on the legs and go to failure safely.

Setting the platform at a shallow angle should allow you to put your feet really low without your heels coming up. That might let you reach full knee flexion before hitting bottom and your hip angle would be more open so it would be a more quad dominant hack squat.

I've been hoping someone would review one of these. Im thinking about going with force usa. I wanted to ask, if you placed a 2x4 (or similar spacer) under the rear leg of the machine, not where your feet are but your back. Would the increased angle make it feel more challenging? Since the machine is 30 degrees instead of 45 degrees weight ratio would feel off. You would be able to bolt the wood to the machine so you don't have to worry about it slipping and coming off. Do you think this would work, or could there be any downsides to trying this?

i got a gmwd one for xmas gift, I've never been a machines for legs kinda guy but I am a convert after getting one. The space saving and cost vs an actual leg press makes it a boon for home gym owners imo

Dokken!? 😂 Your musical taste is always surprising - never tried them, but now I'll have too. Interesting machine - probably the closest one I'd try (if i had space). Like the adjustment and calf attachment

Looks promising with small footprint + price point. But seems like the hack squat is no go for anyone under 6 ft? Even at 90 degrees as u mentioned?
@hybridresistance
@hybridresistance 9 күн бұрын
I guess a couple inches might not matter but also depends on how low you want to go. My ideal set up on this I actually just discovered where the hack attachment is in and the seat is raised into a certain position. Even though I could use the Hack option, I probably won't use that function much.

This looks really doable, I’ve been looking into a small leg press machine like this and honestly my squatmax is great and all but sometimes it’s just not as user friendly to use all the time in a safe way- nobody else at home can set it up safely. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it BUT I’ll gladly trade it in for a more compact user friendly machine like this. ..thanks for the review !!….. Keith

Appreciate that Big Keith! I wasn't really a fan of these until I had some more time with it. For sure not perfect. I just posted an IG post where I show my favorite position on this machine that wasn't featured on the video using the hack squat attachment and an ideal seat angle.

I like the size of the foot plate but the cheap flexing under stress would not be conformable to use.

I can sympathize with that as this machine in how incredible similar the design looks, but possible function is another thing. These machines especially really needs to fit you right to make it worth it.

Calves are so easy to train whether seated or standing. But it seems like a taller person would top out easier on the Blazzed. I think the steel used on the calf block should have been used to reinforce the footplate and they just stuck with a solid 2 in 1 machine.
@hybridresistance
@hybridresistance 11 күн бұрын
@@JustWalt01 if you’re taller, you could raise the hack pad lying down and you should be good. I personally do dig having calf option though. Appreciate you watching as always, brother.

@@hybridresistance assembly is a nightmare out of the box with the instructions it comes with, but tbh you can probably leave much of it pre-installed. The footprint is taxing for most people's spaces though. I was hellbent on *making* it work for mine, but I have low back problems and I needed to have a contingency plan in case I couldn't squat.

@hybridresistance
@hybridresistance 11 күн бұрын
@@BrandonSchwartz1 I mentioned that as well although no question sometimes (at least visually) my leg press just seems like this behemoth that takes up so much room in my garage. Like everything it really depends on the value the person puts on the machine. As much as I love my 45 degree leg press, I don't know if I can justify keeping it around much longer for how little I've been using it. I'm also aware that sometime my use of these machines can be cyclical, so I'm mindful that I could regret that.
