I contacted them directly about my suggestions and tagged your video in there as well in an email. They responded positively and told me that they are improving on the product already and taking these suggestions in mind. I'm probably one of the few that would be excited to use the old school BoS attachments and it will be a decision factor for me, because I do somewhat feel a little constrained to that 5/8th hole 2.3x2.3 ecosystem, especially since BoS is all in on the Manticore 3x3 1" hole ecosystem now, there's likely not going to be any more attachments for me. But I knew the risks, their light commercial was such a great bang for the buck at the time and no ragrets I suppose. Funnily enough it was the exact two attachments you showcased, the dip bar and seal row pad would be perfect. My rack is busy enough with monolifts, jammer arms, and those sweet nylon roller j cups that while I could take stuff off and put them on, having a freestanding upright off to its own open space would be preferred, since both the dip and rows need a lot of clearance space.

A regular person, a regular guy who has experience with home gym equipment and setting up and delivering old-school Nautilus equipment, was given this for an early Christmas present: the Titan Fitness wall mount cable tower, which was garbage. This is a hundred times better than that, but it's more ideal for shorter people. I recommend you also use sandbags for the front to hold the front down while doing certain exercises and/or mounting it to a wall, which can be done overall for the price quality a whole lot better than Titan Fitness.

I purchased this several months ago and have been very happy with it. I upgraded the pulleys and contacted the company to get an extra wall mount to mount it at the top and bottom of the rack. The company's customer service is great! Is it the best, no, but it gets the job done for a great price, and it's more versatile than other comparable items on the market.

Now my wife and I can use separate towers and no need to load and take off weight each set lol. Plus this will add so much versatility to our workouts. Excited that the arms go completely horizontal, I am going to set this up right to the side of my olympic rings so I can do weighted dips and weighted pullups off it.🤙🏽Resell value in my area on this will be solid once Im ready to upgrade. I’ll be on the lookout this coming year to see what functional trainer racks come to the market. I anticipating an increase in options coming to the market with some including smith machines. I keep a 45 and 2 35s on it at all times at the back if you were just using it for accessory movements, at least a 45 and a 35 on each side of the back and then I usually put 35 dumbbell on the front posts The way you use it depends too if you’re pulling from the lowest point at the bottom upwards or from the highest point at the top and you are sitting away from the machine physics will make it easier to tip over You can also use sandbags, which will probably be cheaper or cinderblocks anything heavy. For a couple 100 more here in Canada, bells with weight stack was way to go. They have also said they will be working in more attachments and in that could be height for pulldowns and flyes. I think the eco system was worth investing in but eonfit should have thought more about their holes and upright sizes.
@IRON-PHOENIX2 ай бұрын
It’s quite a lot more money about $600 more and if you want the attachments as of right now, Matthew Porter‘s attachments are I believe $600 plus so you’re gonna end up spending $2500 on a single stack machine at that point you might as well just buy a functional trainer because it’s gonna end up taking the same amount of space and cost more with all the attachments. This is the best thing in the budget. I made a short showcasing some of the different things you can do with it on my channel. Gluck did a great job.
@Polentaccio2 ай бұрын
@IRON-PHOENIX depends on your market. For us in Canada, it is 900 $ upgraded pulleys eonfit vs bells tower with aluminum pulleys and the 200lbs stack
@IRON-PHOENIX2 ай бұрын
@ I am in Canada too. The bells of steel was not 900. 1279+ tax for the weight stack version and you need the upright otherwise you have to bolt it to the wall. Versus the Black Friday deal I got which was 699 but typically there’s a coupon so it’s around 750 for the eonfitOmni so you’re looking at a around $530 more just for the weight stack aluminum pulley I think are around 130 bucks so let’s say $400 more for the bells of steel and all you get is the weight stack their attachments in my opinion aren’t that big of a deal the pad doesn’t let a deep stretch to use with the cable machine so perhaps people are using those attachments with dumbbells and I don’t really use dips or anything but that’s extra anyway. machine for machine if this one is around $900 after tax bell of steel is $1400. It’s a huge difference just for a weight stack and loss of functionality. Then the bells of steel is getting close to a functional trainer cost and at that point I would just buy the Ironax functional trainer/half rack. For 2000 or wait till the inspire FTX goes on sale at Costco for 1350 Canadian. Appreciate the civil conversation :)
@Polentaccio2 ай бұрын
@@IRON-PHOENIXi hear ya...yes if you take into consideration sales, it can make a diff. I got my stack for 1100 and I wanted a seal pad to use with dumbells but definitely wanted a dip attachment. So for me it was worth it. The ironax was on my list but if you look at the stacks, you'd have to connect them for pulldowns and you still have the height issue. There is also the space consideration. I'm not against a bolt in the wall to keep it stable. I don't think even with the back upright from bells that I trust it. End if the day, we are both justifying our purchases lol. At my age though ( 40's) I thought it was time to splurge on a stack. Plate loading is time I don't always have. I also am counting on future attachments which I coukd use with my tower. Ultimately what I would have done is go 3k on a rack with dual stack combo but I find myself lifting less with a rack anymore. I agree though, eonfit dialed the design in with those arms. You add height for your pulldown and you get flyes. I think you can also use 1 inch plates which I have a ton of.
@IRON-PHOENIX2 ай бұрын
@ yes I have a short vid on my channel showing a lot of exercises feel free to check it out. I don’t do any barbell or rack exercises I prefer machines. Bells is def a nicer machines but this allows full height rom lat pulls seated in my bench for me I am 6ft. Love the coverage of this super versatile but affordable stuff, keep it coming! I've been advocating for the articulating FT arms for a while like the GetRx'd RX3 Tornado and MAXUM Fitness SX2/X2 because they really do open up some more exercise variety! Good to see some budget options start to incorporate this. Wouldn't mind seeing a review of that all-in-one smith rack with these arms too 😁. I am genuinely curious though, is there a practical benefit you'd get by changing the uprights or other parts to thicker/pricier 11-gauge steel for most people not trying to compete or be elite level? Let's say an average but very dedicated person just lifting to look/feel good and strong would probably cap out around 405lbs max in any given lift. I know 11-gauge is objectively stronger/better, but if you aren't pushing 300lbs+ on the cables (I'm guessing not many would unless you're squatting or deadlifting or VERY strong with rows + pulldowns or something) would it actually make a practical difference in usage day to day? Haven't drop tests been done on 14-gauge steel racks and they handle hundreds of pounds just fine and it's generally within the limits of what most people would ever use in their lifetime? Would actually love to see a video where you compare 14 and 11-gauge steel racks & attachments and do some tests with both a full cage + pipe/drop-in/strap safeties and half-rack + spotter arms style! Showing something premium like Rogue, mid-range like Bells or Titan or entry-level Rep models, and then budget racks like a RitFit or Mikolo. Though I know that would kind-of be a massive undertaking.

Machines like this don’t have to be accessory only movements in fact there a lot of hypertrophy growth you can get out of this for your entire upper body even legs with some hacks. Excited to see how ur video will now impact the single stack market!

What did you use for your legs on the pull downs

Seems like with a 4-5 inch higher diy platform it might worth a lil sumn🤷🏾♂️😂

Reminds me of Getrxd tornado arms design.

So do you think it's fine freestanding so long as it's weighted down. If so, this is probably the only option I have for a rental. Thanks for the review! I was hoping one of my favorite channels would go in depth on this one.
@GlucksGym2 ай бұрын
Yes it's perfectly fine freestanding and weighted down with plates.

I have this. I did some video on this way down the front and the back and then it’s golden. It actually feels pretty heavy for chest work so it’s a great machine. Just make sure to grease the guide rods and get the aluminum pulley upgrades which I have.

It’s not listed on Amazon anymore 😔

Could you get two and add j cups to use as a half rack as well?

How do you keep yourself on the bench while doing lats pulldowns? I pull about 30lbs more than I weigh, so if there's nothing to hold my legs, it just becomes a pull-up bar for me.
@GlucksGym2 ай бұрын
They give you leg roller. You can see them in a few clips and I joke about them when I talk about the attachments.

@GlucksGym Oh... That's nice! I might get this to replace my aging Bowflex Revolution. Same idea... But move is starting to fall apart.

@@shane250 yeah the leg roller is amazing and most companies don’t even include that I have this machine the leg roller Is awesome and I can get full stretch pull downs
