This was very informative. This Compactenna is very interesting but a few of us were wondering if Dr Jack was just selling Snake Oil. I think I will have to get a 9" and give it try. 73 WS4K

Could you ask Jim where he got the hood mount that was on the truck in the video? I would like to look into a mount of that type. Thank You!

Thanks for the follow up video on this Eric. I’m hoping to make it to the Ft Pierce hamfest next month. Hopefully will get to see the compactenna in person. 73 KN4YWW

How does the scan III due on the 220 band?

On the arrl band plan' bottom right corner, it says there are bands in the ghz range for all ham license. What is 250ghz? Like 25000 mhz? Is there even a radio that goes that high?

Those are all experimental microwave modes, and normally they use upconverters like microwave guys do 900mhz input to 6GHz output but I don’t know what anyone in those upper frequencies are doing these days. It’s complete line of sight at such a low power like building top to neighboring building top. It’s also mainly record holder challenges go see how many feet or meters they can send and receive a signal at that high of a frequency

You are not to transmit on the scanner 3 I was told by Hro
