Hi, if you require the tripod horizontally you always have the option to put it on top and 'burrito' it with the rolltop and put the rolltop strap over. This has the advantage that you do not have to set the backpack down having the tripod on the floor each time.

Hello, I'm considering buying the 20L version of the Element for use with my Mamiya 7, the narrowest dimension is ~13cm (with the tripod plate I keep permanently attached) - will this fit through the side access panel? Thank you!

Hi, the Element backpack 20L is a more compact version of the 30L model so the quick access opening is also smaller. The access is about 12cm x ~15-16cm. If you need a larger opening or your body height is over 175cm we'd recommend the 30L option.

hey, I purchase your first kickstarter backpacks.( The Explorer). I even purchased two.They were very well made. I still use it now. I bought the large and the small. the only problem I had was I felt the shoulder straps on the smaller bag were a little small and a little uncomfortable.. I wished it had the same shoulder straps like the larger bag(I thought they were perfect). Are the straps on this version closer to the larger bag or small?

Hi, there is always a height and back length recommendation for our ergonomic bags. The Element 20L is not just for smaller kits but also for smaller users with shorter, more slender build. A user of 1.8m+ height will fall beyond the fit recommendation and will require the 30L model for best fit. However, the straps on both Element backpack models are the same width because shape, cushioning and manufacturing has been improved significantly compared to the simpler Explorer series so the overall comfort is a lot higher.

Hi it will fit with the 30L, not with the 20L. Please know that it will be a tight fit as the camera body has such bulky dimensions.

Ich habe den großen Element Rucksack und bin grundsätzlich sehr zufrieden. Allerdings bin ich erstaunt, dass scheinbar an zwei Punkten gar nicht gearbeitet wurde. 1. Die Fächer für Flasche/Stativ: Die sind gut nutzbar wenn der Rucksack leer ist aber sobald Equipment drin ist gibt der Rucksack nach innen nicht mehr nach und das Fach ist wenig bis gar nicht flexibel. Somit empfinde ich es immer als Krampf dort eine Flasche unter zu bringen. 2. Die Kletttaschen am Rückenteil innen: Die Flexibilität dieser Taschen klingt zunächst nach einem Feature aber in der Realität nutzt man (oder ich zumindest) die Tasche doch nur an der gleichen Stelle, weil es sonst keinen Sinn macht. Den SD-Card Halter auf der Innenseite des Schnellzugriffs anzubringen, hat bei mir dazu geführt, dass ich beim herausnehmen der Kamera die Karten verloren habe. Also nicht nutzbar aus meiner Sicht. Dennoch finde ich es gut, dass Compagnon nun auch eigene IGUs anbietet. Frage: Passt die 10l IGU auch in den Element 30l und lässt sich irgendwie befestigen? Die normalen Klett-Devider haben sich oft gelöst wenn ich im Rolltop ein wenig gestopft habe. Eine etwas stabilere Option mit IGU wäre mir ganz recht. Ich hoffe das kam jetzt nicht zu kritisch rüber ;-) Ihr macht tolle Produkte, weiter so! Grüße Dennis
