If he really likes you he gives you a wooden soldier his late wife made for him. Probably the last thing he has from her. If he hates you, he curses at you and knowingly breaks a promise he made to his late wife.

It's a bug. Entering power armor has a chance to increase affection two fold rather than decrease it with Strong.

My favorite is x6 88, however recently I did this sequence through the subversion mod, and towards the end you can basically reprogram him after he chews you out, you can choose the option this isn't going my way dammit, x688 initiate factory reset LOL, and basically he'll go back too normal thinking you're the best person in the Commonwealth everything that he thought before is completely reset LOL, I did this after I pretty much killed all the board members in the Institute and man was he pissed LOL.
