Companions React to Jaheira Family Reunion

I love that Jaheira is kinda a mildly bad parent, in that she's absent too much and bad at keeping in communication, but that she's not terrible or anything. There's still clearly so much love and concern in that family, and even as they're trading barbs you can hear it in every word. Just a nice departure from what seems like a binary "this family is perfect with basically zero flaws" or "this family is broken on a fundamental level" options we tend to get with PC families.

I think it’s fair to say in her defense she was more hero than she was mother. But then again if she didn’t become a hero well, not many to stand up and do what she does. Can understand her children wanting her to have been around more, maybe a bit of being in the shadow of their mother, easy to hear about her deeds than her being there

It could be whichever one matches the race of your BG2 character, that's why she has one from each race I imagine.

If your version of Gorion's Ward was a short lived race like a human or half-orc, that wouldn't be possible.

Half-orc genes are hard to dilute, a half-elf getting knocked up by a half-orc will give birth to a half-orc, and they don't live as long as half-elves, their lifespan is 60 years.

@@josedarocha2949 Orc blood is hard to dilute, or so they say in D&D lore. If a half-elf has a kid with a half-orc, the kid will still be half-orc. Half-orcs live up to 65 years, much shorter than the human lifespan, and BG3 is set 123 years after BG2.

Jord low key comfirms most of (not all) are adopted, With the "this house has taken in alot of children over the years". they are her kids she loves them deeply but they arent of her i dont think.

@@yellowbeard1 Yup all adopted!. The perks of a long life is being able to be a parent figure to everyone in need. She's even pretty much the mom of team with all her sage advise; Grandpa Withers over in the corner is just being cantankerous and refuses to explain jack all. Crazy Uncle Minsc got hit one to many times on the head during his college football days.
