I'm finally posting another "Day in the Life"! I love these videos because I get to share the real, raw and authentic parts of my life, as well as my thoughts as a business owner and leader.
In this episode I share my day at the office on my birthday, April 3rd - and I cannot believe the surprise I received from YOU!! Karin Bohn is the founder and creative director behind the award-wining Vancouver-based design firm, House of Bohn (www.houseofbohn.com). Karin established the interior design firm over 8 years ago, and since has made her mark on the West-Coast Canadian design scene in many industries including high-end residential, multi-family, restaurants and retail. In addition to working at the helm of her interior design firm, she experiments with storytelling and "giving-back" in a digital medium - video. So impressed. What truly amazes me Karin, is your ability to be busy with so many different personalities around you in a small space and on a full time basis. You have an awesome temperament, you probably don’t realize how much pressure you can take. I would have to be n my own office spaceto think straight. Hi Karin and Team Bohn #bohngirls, loved seeing another DITL video. I pretty much comment on every video so you know how I feel about your content. Today it was great seeing you not only talk about company culture but show how the company culture really is at team bohn. We have got to see the genuine culture and vibe there and so a Big thank you to all the ladies at House Of Bohn for being happy to be featured on the channel as well. I love the supportive nature of women among women, but at the same time it shows the individuality you all have and how it can work harmoniously together. In one of your vlogs Karin, you spoke about how women and men operate differently in business and whilst there are some common skills and traits that are needed we should be authentic to ourselves and women should not try to be like men, we do things different not only as women but as ourselves. You can tell that you all work really hard and it's a demanding environment, but through your interactions with each other it can be seen you all want to actually be there and keep growing as a company. I am sure there are up and down days however the result of a great company culture is what you see not only in the results you produce for clients but the atmosphere and goals achieved by each individual team member. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing two uploads a week. Awesome!

b millan I can’t help but notice that you comment on Karin’s videos often. Sometimes I feel that your comments are unnecessary especially when you bring up how Karin doesn’t hire ethnically and racially different people. If you lived where I lived AND where Karin lived you would know, we do not have a dominant black population. Also, she is not only hiring Caucasian people, did you not watch the video? Lol. Why do we always have to bring race into it? Yeah it’s your comment you can say what you want but really try and think about what you post before you hit enter. 🤷🏽‍♀️
