I'm back with a new vlog and this time I'm telling my pregnancy story.
Be warned, while this does have a happy ending, it has definitely been quite the journey to get here and for some of you, this may be a very sensitive topic.
All that said, I wanted to share my journey with you, and I hope that my story provides comfort as well as hope and inspiration for anyone who is also struggling with getting pregnant.

40 seconds into the video I got chills and shed a tear after hearing the heartbeat💗. I've been following you before you reached 5k and am so happy for you. When you shared you'd experienced miscarriages I prayed for you. Thank God here's to a beautiful journey.

I too had a miscarriage at the beginning of the pandemic it was incredibly hard. Also started ivf shortly after. I am now 22 weeks with our rainbow baby. Thank you for sharing it can sometimes feel like a lonely experience. IVF is definitely hard. We got pregnant on an off month.

Dear Karin - The courage, bravery and vulnerability to go on this journey together as a couple and then to share it with others are admirable and inspiring. You were/are under no obligation to do so however I know that your story has and will help many. Fertility/Pregnancy is a deeply sensitive, emotional and challenging journey for many if not all in different ways. So many are facing many challenges with fertility/pregnancy and there is power in normalising the conversation around this as many go through this alone or in isolation. Everyone's journey is different and complex, it brings about a number of psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual challenges as well as a spectrum of thoughts and emotions. Miscarriages are a part of many people's journey's and these are traumatic for any that go through this and can be extremely challenging to heal from. I loved your reflection on why you may have struggled to stay pregnant & how stress contributed to it. That must’ve not been easy, I commend you for having the strength to speak on it! It can be a touchy subject but it’s important to be in tune with your femininity in order to become pregnant and carry out a healthy pregnancy. As career-oriented women, we should keep this in mind when family planning & preparing for motherhood. Thank you for sharing your story !

Isn't it amazing that we spend our whole adult lives trying NOT to get pregnant and then in your 30's ... it's trying! Feel you on the body changing and all the feels that come up. I think it's so important to touch base with that topic because it's so healing! We miscarried a couple of months ago. It's so common. My doctor said stress too. So happy for you now. I went through similar. Getting pregnant during lockdown and not telling anyone until our first scan and then losing our baby at 14 weeks. It was devastating. We are now pregnant again. I’m 46 and super excited and have been so relaxed through this pregnancy. I have loved and nurtured myself to make sure my baby is relaxed. I know you have had your little beauty now. I’m due December 2022. I’m also an interior designer and feel inspired by your talents in design and business. I'm very happy for you!! It's so great to see you happy and excited about this new chapter! It's great that you are able to spend more mindfull moments at home. I'm sure you inspired some couples out there trying to conceive. For me, I'm in my mid-thirties without a boyfriend. I always wanted to be a mom, but with my age and without a partner, and not being able to afford IVF, I don't have a lot of hope to become a mom one day. Karin, you are very brave. You've got this. Pregnancy is such a journey, mostly for the mother who is bearing this new life, it goes by really quick and it is worth all the effort in the end. When you hold your baby for the first time and take a sniff of her little sweet face all the uncomfortable moments up to that point will have been worth it ;)

Hi Karen. Huge congratulations! Love this video, its a wonderful insight into trusting timing. I would love to be a mother but I'm 37, currently without a partner, and without the financial means for IVF. But I want to say a personal thank you for your videos, because two years a go I was additionally in a job that made me unhappy, I had no self confidence, and I hit a very low point in life. It was your day in the life video's that initially sparked me to believe in myself and pursue something that would make me happy. Since then I have graduated as a qualified interior designer after studying intensively throughout the pandemic and have found my passion, something I never thought would be possible to achieve at this stage in life. I am now in a much better place and am hopeful for what the future brings :)
