Just had an extremely unmotivated Latin teacher try to teach me this (to no avail of course). This video helped me out greatly, thank you!

The day after tomorrow I’m having an olympiad (competition). This helps a lot to revise everything quickly. It’s just that they expect us to put verbs at the end, the Classical Latin way.

4:16 "My cat" would be "Felis mea". Great video though. It really helped me understanding the comparative.

Great video! I noticed you translated flūmen into English as river when it would be more appropriate to use stream. To use the word river in Latin, I'd opt to use amnis instead.

Rīvus and fluvius also mean the same thing, sometimes there's several different ways to say the same thing in latin, regardless of the usage. That's why it's better to interpret what the sentence means instead of reflecting back on definition. latin is less mechanical and more flexible in it's meaning and word order. it's why it's such a fun language, the room for Interpretation is boundless 😊

Can you say why tus is te in "Vollo te abhire"? I saw it in one of yours.
@latintutorial4 жыл бұрын
The subject of an infinitive is in the accusative case, so since “you” is the subject of “abīre”, it needs to be “tē”.

Wait wouldn’t Minor be Lesser
@latintutorial3 жыл бұрын
No, “less” is standard. But it might be fun to research the difference between “less” and “lesser”!
