I have the 765. Got it a year ago when it was the top dog. Now I want the overkill, "Tim the tool man Taylor" version 😂

Someone should do a skateboard test with bother of these strapped on and cranked up to turbo and see how much more force the 880 has against the 1000. And the 765

Great info. Thanks. Looks like Ego keeps getting us to buy a new blower even when we don't need one!

What do you think about the handle and the light and the screen on the 1000 model?
@rebellucy62008 күн бұрын
@TechMadeEzy I think the light is ok, but my neighbors would probably get angry if I was blowing after dark. I cut my grass one time at 8pm and my jerk neighbor said I was 'inconsiderate'.🤣😂

Probably not residential but definitely someone that’s doing commercial work depending on what they’re blowing whether it’s dirt but I understand what you’re saying

I've got a 670 and a 615 and I remember watching a test where the 670, for the application I use it for, performed the same as the 765 (which seemed odd). I primarily use mine for detailing my cars. Will be interesting to see how these 2 compare. Frankly my 670 is pretty heavy which is one reason I ended up getting a couple 2.5amp batteries (came with a 5.0). And the force or push back on your arms is pretty obvious.

Thanks for the video for these two new EGO handheld blowers. The strap on the LBX1000 is interesting and perhaps it's for quick connect & disconnect for the commercial operators to switch between EGO tools quickly such as switching from the trimmer to the blower and other multi-head tools. LBX1000 is a great machine; however, as a home owner it is not suitable for me due to it's weight and is currently not compatible with the gutter and short nozzle attachments or having these attachments available for the owner to purchase. I think the most controversial and possibly visually miss leading part between the LB8800 and LB7650 I own is that though the intake "LOOKS" a lot larger on the LB7650, when I aligned the end of the rear intake comb of both units I see that the beginning of the intake of the LB8800 aligned perfectly to the back of the green intake entry where the real intake begins for the LB7650 and the depth measurement of both intake combs begin taking in air are the same at 2" depth. The radios of the intake on the LB7650 is ~1" larger than the LB8800 which may explain why the noise level is lower on the LB7650 even when the LB8800 is running only on level 3 (1 level below high) with the similar output as the LB7650 at "HIGH". Both unit's internal fans are the same size with the same amount of fins and the intake and output tube circumferences are also the same on the main body except the extension tube on the LB8800 is a bit wider and will not clip onto the LB7650's body. Not sure if LB8800 is using a different motor or using the same brushless motor from LB7650 and just been programmed to spin faster. Either way, I still like the LB8800's digital display that displays the battery level on both fuel gage and Gen1 none fuel gage batteries, lock button, larger bottom stand for hands not located right under the air intake to freeze up hands when blowing snow and the flexibility to dial down the output to conserve battery or lower the operation noise (not much of an issue since I always operate the unit with noise cancelation earbuds). Well done with the video and I looking forward to the in-depth performance video soon.

After getting the ego 880 I noticed it made a funny turky gobbley sound when powering down.unlike my 765 . I see now that yours does the same so I guess it's a part of the 880 design so I guess I'll keep it. I would like more power so hopefully amazon lowes or ace will carry the lbx1000. Shipping to alaska is too hight with the other distributors

Hey Al, have you experienced the static shock blowing snow with gloves on using the 765? Do you know whether either of these new machines have the same problem? I'd buy one immediately if I knew that problem was solved!
@TechMadeEzy7 күн бұрын
I never use a 765 in the snow but I will tell you with the 1,000 CFM I've never experienced shock using it with a blower or with the backpack link where you put the battery on your back

Thanks for the comparo! Can you tell a difference between the 765 compare to the 880 and 1000 as far as power? I’ve had the 765 since February of 2022 and so I’m thinking of upgrading if there is a noticeable difference in power (air flow). I use my 765 for just drying cars and so out of the 880 or 1000, which one would you recommend for drying cars? TIA!

I’m not a professional, but I feel like the light on the commercial should be on the bottom to eliminate that aweful shadow lol.. but again in use. Your typically lookign ahead of the blower and not at the nozzle.. but maybe it’s a valid small thing.. who knows lol
@shaunnightfire82699 күн бұрын
At 1700w, the 2p 4ah/5ah should be enough, but would be interesting if it benifits from a 3p 6ah/7.5ah battery in turbo. The 1p 2.5ah battery even holds back my 650 cfm.
@ErikAsquith8 күн бұрын
Ego should have made it possible to lock Turbo. They should just do away with Turbo and allow the full power range to be controlled via the single trigger. They are discouraging the user from using the full potential of the blower by putting max power behind a separate Turbo button that is not lockable. Ego does this because the runtime is reduced significantly, the battery cells get hot, and the battery longevity is reduced. Hopefully Ego releases tabless cells or pouch batteries in the near future to help with discharging faster and reducing the heat.

@george23017 сағат бұрын
I went with the 880 over the 1000.the 1000 will need a 10 amp battery just to run it. On the 880 I like the carbon and the handle..way lighter than the 1000 I just need it for residential use. reason is 1 longer warranty. 5 year. Instead.of a 2 year warranty..2 i found the best price in stead of 269. I scored the 880 at northen tool for 219. Dont need batteries i have 2 5 amps batteries and ego just replaced one of my.five amps under warranty. The 5 amps will last.longer. so didnt want to waste the extra.money on 4.amps. with 2 5 amps and the rapid 550 watt charger thay should be perfect for the 880.

I really think the 1000cfm is just too heavy to be practical. Because of its power requirements it really needs a big battery. If you need that kind of power get the new 1100cfm backpack. the 880 is more user friendly.
@TechMadeEzy9 күн бұрын
The nice thing though is you can actually put your battery on a backpack link. Have you seen that? It takes the weight off the blower
@tonytrofe71379 күн бұрын
The 880 def has a better form factor. Anything bulkier should be a backpack blower. If I were between the two, I’d take the 880 any day of the week.
