These guitars are a big step forward, the only thing I'm waiting for now is a new collection of Slash guitars with an open book headstock: Anaconda, Vermillion, Brazilian, November, Victoria, Jessica, BlackBeauty, in all the characteristic Slash editions, this is my dream :D Slash's previous collection was great, now it's time for a new one! guitars with a case included, without unnecessary "epiphone inspired by gibson" inscriptions and preferably with a replaceable truss rod cover like in Gibsons.

It's NEVER about how they sound. It's about how they FEEL to play. It's about the quality of the workmanship for action, rolled edges, fit and finish. If you're comparing sound, you're just comparing pickups - which is a totally different question "Do these $350 pups sound better than these $200 pups, well, yes they do. A bit. Sort of". But if you're buying a guitar for that reason alone, buy the cheap one and upgrade the pups.
@toolittle72045 ай бұрын
I own an epi custom and a two Gibson customs, this is the only thing that matters - epiphone has a skinnier nut width, skinner neck width, much skinnier neck profile, closer string spacing, bridge spacing, poly finish and the feel that goes with it, thinner body, different frets, different nut cut at different height etc etc etc. If you just want the same sound, buy a harley bento for 1/4 and throw the pickups in there. No correlation between sound+price at all, but they feel worlds apart

@kerpoise2 ай бұрын
@@MRPERFECT_79 go buy a Gibson Les Paul standard for 2k, then buy an Epiphone for 500. Swap the pups. Then do a blind test, get your mate to play plugged in to your setup, and you listen blindfolded . And tell us which is the 'better' sounding guitar. I guarantee it will be the Epiphone. Now do the same, but YOU play the guitar. You'll feel differently about the sound as you can feel the resonance better through your body with the Gibson, the frets feel nicer to play. All of that contributes to the EXPERIENCE of playing a guitar. Now, tell us which you prefer. Playing a guitar is about the whole experience. Not just the sound it makes. It's the sound you FEEL in your body, it's the friction when moving up and down the neck, it's the well dressed frets that feels silky smooth when sliding, and it's the knowledge that someone not a machine, carved this guitar with care and attention to detail. Flute players would say the same, the noise and instrument makes is only part of the experience that makes it feel special.

I have one in Alpine White. And I like it. A lot. For me, everything about it is great. I am taking it to my luthier next week for a pro setup and fret dress. In the meantime, I took off the covers and checked out the parts. Mine has Gibson USA 490R and 498T pickups, CTS pots, Mallory caps and Switchcraft switch and output jack. I was pleased to find that the cavities were super clean and painted white. The wirings were neatly soldered and nicely tucked. I am very happy with this guitar. I honestly don’t care about the pickups and electronics, because I *always* swap them for Duncan pups and Liberator pot. Nothing against the Epi stock stuff, it’s just something I do to all my instruments. What I care about is the other components, how the guitar plays, and how it looks. I recently bought the cheaper of the two epiphone les paul models,brand new, chose the ebony colour, beautiful guitar. Yes it does have cts pots, but they mustn't be the good ones, because they are basically all the way up or all the way off with virtual no graduation, plus both valume pots crackle and make noise when I use them. This is the thing that is disappointing about the guitar for me. Ive ordered replacement pickups, pots, switch and capacitors with a pre made wiring harness from a high quality maker here in Australia. Im happy with how the guitar feels to play though

I still don't understand the naming of the different series. And don't believe anyone else does either? None of it makes the slightest bit of sense. If you have an Inspired By Gibson line already, why is a "custom" extention of it needed? Especially when there was already Customshop Collaboration models out already. It just seems like contrived mumbo jumbo that only confuses people more. You could take half the extra words out of the descriptions, and make it simple to decipher. Instead, nobody I've seen yet, can get it right. And you have to make a video like this to try'n explain it? Bad idea. Let it fall to the wayside. Stop dividing and subdivding all the models into numerous different series. The guitars are great. The marketing, not as much.

I never understand why in such demo you play a distorted sound directly ? But I'm sorry i can't take any decision like this. I need first to listen the guitar unpluged to ear how it resonate. Second i pluged in an amp with a very clean sound and test all the positions of the pick up. And at least i pust a very few over drive to ear how the pick up react like this. And at the end i will push more drive. And i will do the same with each guitar step by step passing form one to the other. Then after all this i could say witch one i prefer.
