I got the Babyliss Pro 1.25 upon your recommendation, and I love it! The handle fits nicely in my hand. The iron s not too heavy or too long. My hair slides easily off the barrel, but the clamp holds it securely in place as needed. Also, I don't have strands getting tangled and snagged as I turn the barrel around, which is a problem I had with other tools. It heats up rather quickly. One of my favorite things is that the temperature dial STAYS at the spot I set it on. I've had other curling irons with no "number" indicators or with dials/buttons that are placed thoughtlessly and shift accidentally, giving me uneven results. This Babyliss iron is a gem, especially for its price!

Yes! This was incredibly helpful! I'm very much into makeup, but have never, never done much with my hair. It's always been around shoulder length, and other than coloring with henna-indigo or with box dye, and blow drying it, I don't fuss with it. As long as it's healthy and shiny, it pleases me. Styling it in different ways, accessorizing it, playing with color have never been a priority. Fast forward to a few months ago, when I decided that at 57 years old, it was time to learn some new hair tricks. I've been learning from you and a few other content creators how to "do" my hair, and I'm very happy with my new found interest. I learned that I had been "loading" my hair onto the curling iron incorrectly, and also that my iron was perhaps of not enough quality to give me good results. Upon your recommendation on this video, I purchased the mid-range one (Babyliss) to see if a nicer tool would help me style with more ease. IT DOES! For the last two weeks, my curls are looking better and better. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your expertise with the rest of us!

The only thing I wish she added to this video was a simple demonstration of each iron with the outcome! I really like the information she gives but unless you can see the outcome, its hard to tell which product is the right one for you. Other than that I love the information given on each!

I bought the Babyliss Pro 1.25” when I saw you used it on a tutorial you did and it was a game changer. I’ve used it regularly and it’s drastically improved my curls. The clamp on mine can be removed so I can use it as a wand which I like. I’ve also used it on friends who have very different hair types and they loved it so much they got it. This is one purchase I have been very very happy with!

I'll go with T3 for sure which I just purchased three weeks ago after extensive research between T3 and GHD , the diff barrel attachments, temperature settings and dual voltage are what makes T3 stands out from the rest of the curling iron brands out there.

Many, many years ago I was watching your blogs and you convinced me to buy a hot tools curling iron and suggested a certain size (3/4 I think). I have used it ever since and you’ve changed my hair game!!! I actually think I saw a video of yours recently and you talked about how the size barrel you mentioned in the past wasn’t actually the size you really used in those tutorials. Lol that size, whatever it is, works great for me!! Thank you!!

I am surprised you didn’t mention hot tools. I have been watching you for a few years and I have followed so many of your older hairstyles. You taught me how to curl my hair starting at the base of the hair as opposed to the ends and rolling up, which was how I had always curled my hair. The difference in how long my curls last is amazing. I always thought it was my fine, thin hair that caused it to not last, but following your how to curl your hair video made a world of difference. The updos that I learned from you are the styles I continue to use on a daily basis. Especially the messy bun, hitch is a favorite for me. I see the Babylis irons at tjmaxx for a great price on occasion and was wondering if they were worth it, I will definitely check one out, or maybe the t3.

Big selling point on the T3 for me that you didn't mention: Dual/world voltage and auto shut off. I was having a hard time finding an iron that had both. I am an often forgetful and occasional world traveler. LOL I love the idea of the interchangable barrels for travel. Plus it has 5 heat settings from 260 to 410. My hair is fine and thin and damaged, so there is no way I could use the last iron that has no heat setting. And for $200?? Yikes.

Love the T3 too! I have lots and lots of baby fine slightly curly hair with color/highlights. Decided ceramic tourmaline makes a big diff, especially if you’re sliding your hair. For me, if you want an under-$50 iron have to try the “INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR Nano Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron, 1 1/4-Inch Curling Iron”. It’s worlds above their metal barrels, and only $20-$35 range. Had an older ceramic version with pink base that’s lasted a million years. Picked up in a panic when I forgot to pack curling iron on a trip. I’ve bought five other very expensive curling irons since then - and find I almost always grab the InfinitiPro. Agree the Conair metal barrels are good just not great.

Funny, I really don't like the Kenra hair spray. :) If the heat and the barrel size are the same, what makes one curling iron hold the curl better than another?
@katem68616 жыл бұрын
April Carroll My question also!
@alanajolliff41346 жыл бұрын
My best guess is that the heat isn’t distributed as evenly and consistently. While it may be the same temperature or setting as a higher quality curling iron the heat is not the same throughout the barrel and goes in and out. This is what I have experienced with cheaper irons in the past.

Haha! I thought you were going to say “Aquage Uplifting Foam” which is my all time favorite volumizing product! My favorite hairspray over Kenra 25 is Scruples High Definition Hair Spray. Legally Brewnette I order it from Amazon! Scruples High Definition Hair Spray 10.6 oz (2) for $23.70. My former stylist used it all the time and I just love it. @@rashasarandah1695 woah I commented this 4 years ago😝 I got the T3 SinglePass Curler 1 1/2 size barrel and it is amazing! Beware of their newer wands, they have automatic temperature controls and I had to give them away, as well as their automatic temp control straighteners. Wouldn’t recommend tbh. GHD products self regulate their heat to match your hair. At least the flat iron does!
@dra.acostacrousset97552 жыл бұрын
They do not do that. Is a myth. The tecnology regulates every second the temperature so the flat or curling iron don’t get hotter the 365 F. Regular brands after several minutes Can get 420 C just because don’t have that tecnology that stop it to get it hotter and burn your hair.

I somewhat like Kenra hairsray, but don't love it. I find the strong "hairspray" smell very off putting. Also, my hair stylist always says, "NO KENRA, NO KENRA, NO KENRA". I never asked him why. I have baby fine hair, s maybe the alcohol content in Kenra? Also, he's a loyal Oribe guy, so....
