The strap probably ties to the headstock. I think I'll review semi tractor trailers. I can't drive one, but I could sit in the cab and imagine how good it drives.

I just purchased the Shop4Omni Steel String Backpacker Travel Guitar. I could not tune it to play it no matter what! I found out the bridge which was not glued down, was in the wrong place on the guitar so the intonation was seriously off. The easiest way to set the intonation IMHO is to loosen all inside strings and to lower just a little the tension on the outside strings ie both High and Low E strings. Next, Play the Low E string. Then fret the Low E to the 12th fret which and play that. It should be like the low E note you played , but 1 octave higher. If the sound is higher than E 1 octive higher note, the bridge is to much forward toward the sound hole. Move the bridge back a little and try again. Once Intonation is set on that Low E string, do the same thing with the bottom string on the guitar, the High E string. When i set the intonation on this guitar, the bridge was at an angle instead of strait across the guitar. Then tighten all strings and start playing. Also, you will also have to file the nut down as the strings were to high off the frets. YOU CANNOT PLAY THIS GUITAR WITHOUT SETTING IT UP FIRST. IT WILL NOT TUNE. I do like this guitar now that it is set up. Great camping guitar.

Mine had the exact same issue. Twelfth fret on low e was coming in at F#, E was off a little too. Loosened the strings and repositioned the bridge carefully and it is pretty close now. About what I'd expect from a $35 guitar.

On a lot of the acoustic guitars, there is only one button hook(?). You tie the other end of the shoulder strap by the nut (obviously on the head side of the nut).

Nice I just did a review on the Martin. Still got to edit it but I had no idea about the 36$ guitar. I found a deal on letgo for 50$ for the Martin backpacker. Believe it or not I also found a Mexican strat for 200$. That’s a steel!

I'd love to see you do more travel guitars, but actually playable alternatives to the Martin. It’s fine if you don’t play guitar, but at least knowing how to tune it and strum a few times would’ve been really helpful. I think this is the only review of this guitar on the whole of the Internet somehow. I just wanted to know if it sounds like I guess a mandolin? Or more of a guitar. The rest of the review was stellar though.

Mandolin... I think. It's much more thin, higher pitched than the Martin which has a much deeper normal guitar sound.

@@petervonpanda cool thanks! i'm still looking for travel options. kinda hoping to avoid the higher sound. i mean, mandolins are really cool though but i know that the deeper tones are just more satisfying/relaxing to me. the martin - you mean the backpacker? i know there is that thing, and then another one that has a more rounded body... forgetting the name though. but i believe the two of those are pretty similar. ugh. probably i should go with a travel electric so i can do the quieter practicing like in the airport. but it sucks when you can't get your hands on the things to try. GC had a traveler... but i didn't totally like it. :/ and the donner silent, that has hardly any reviews online yet.

I got one of these the other day, and holy moley is the quality atrocious 🤣🤣🤣It is literally unplayable. The bridge doesn't know if it's 23.5 or 24 in scale length, the "frets" are some cheapo alloy wire or something, the nut is undersized for the nut slot. Fortunately, I never intended to play it - I got it as a visual reference for a build I'm doing, and it works well enough for that. If you're looking for an actual guitar, DO NOT buy this thing. If you need a toy or prop or model, ~$40 isn't too bad.

This guy knows absolutely nothing about guitars. That thing is total junk. I have a real Martin Backpacker and it's surprisingly well built for "hecho en Mexico." The neck and body are one solid piece of oak, with a poplar faceplate and a mahogany fretboard. The machine heads are fully enclosed and permanently lubricated.
