This is the most concise, informational, helpful video I think I've ever watched. I want to make a desk chair seat a little 'cushier' by adding a piece of foam to it, and I thought I needed high density foam cuz it would be softer. The video says the medium density foam feels the same the high-density, the high density simply lasts longer (who knew?) In addition to that helpful information, there were many other questions that this video answered that I didn't even know to ask. i am looking at your site and would like to buy something for my needs if i may explain, i am 6'3 and 290lbs back in october 11, 2023 i received a 3" piece of foam 22"x22" from a different retailer (Density 2.24 LB/CF ) - i sit on it every day for 8-12 hours while working from home 7 days a week it already has flat spots from my butt and near the knees - and when i sit on it first thing in the morning, after about 20 minutes its flat and my butt hurts and my back hurts which foam from your site would be best for my situation? cost is not an issue thanks in advance

I'm contemplating on whether high-density foam or open cell foam would be best for a saddle pad. One one hand the durability would be great but it still needs to dry quickly and not harbour moisture too much

I would use the open cell! If there is any significant amount of moisture you are going to want to use an outdoor foam.

If you don't mind but what type of foam and what thickness would be best for a campervan couch/bed? Campervans can get rather damp/humid compared to a house so something that breaths Good would be better I'm sure.

I would say that 55 should be fine! With the memory foam, I am not entirely sure. I am not well versed in this, but I would look into what the density of the memory foam is and if it is rated for upholstery needs. If you like it though, you should go for it!

HELP! What foam type is used for storage compression? We noticed when we compress an all high density foam mattress, it took 2 weeks for it to come back to shape, even then it wasn't the same as before it was put under compression. Appreciate so much if you know the answer!!!

I am looking to get some foam for my dining chairs, the seller has said High Density is the best as was said in your video. My question is the colour, is High Density always Blue in colour as the seller that I am looking at has white foam.

I am trying to build my own sofa. I am building the frame in the same manner as a twin size bed frame with wooden slats. I am going to use foam for the seat cushions. But what would I use to put on top of the wooden slats so the seat cushion wouldn't feel so uncomfortable If anyone has any answers please help this is what's keeping me from building myself sofa.

From what I can find, there are far more densities and types of foam out there than these two, usually indicated by a wide variety of colors and a stated kg/m3 (kilograms per meter cubed) or lb/ft3 (pounds per foot cubed) and firmness rating based on depth change. Details I only know from my first attempt shopping for foam to fix an old chair. Really not helpful that this video was the first result.
