She bought the bag someone returned and found sitting on Macy’s shelf. I would never do that. Besides she knows I am super careful with anyone’s bags. She also let me borrow her Toggle Crossbody. I love both bags!!! I use my small very regularly. Love the look of the medium, but it is oversized for my everyday use. For me the medium is a good fit for out of town trips where I don't want to forget anything and be sure to bring along a wristlet wallet or small crossbody for grab & go. Thanks for sharing!!

Great review. 👍 Both bags are beautiful! 😍 The Florentine in Natural is so classy. Love the look of it but it would be too big for me. I most likely will get the small or mini. Btw, I bought the Slim Wallet in Black/Black when the PecanTannedBeauty was doing her livestream. I can't wait to receive it. 😁 TFS. 😊

Cool! I'm so happy you bought the wallet. It is really a great wallet. I've been tempted to buy the Gretta wallet but then rationalize it won't be as practical for me as the Slim Wallet. I can't see owning more than one wallet for my self because I wouldn't want to change wallets with each bag unless the Slim Wallet was too long for a small bag. I think the Slim Wallet is perfect. I love the Black/Black. It goes with everything. Enjoy her!!! The Medium Satchel is too big for me too. I think the mini is awesome. The outlets get the mini from time to time. I would love the mini too. The Small Satchel does become, for me, heavy if I carry her for an extended amount of time. But her weight is doable and she is gorgeous. I love your comparison. I have 4 small and 1 medium, but I have yet to use my medium. It is a rather large bag. With fall here it is my intention to pull her out, she is in the color Light Taupe. As always,, thanks for sharing.

Love both bags. The medium is too heavy when I put all my things in it. The small is less heavy and I put the same amount in it. I use the medium as a weekender. Thanks for sharing.

Great comparison! I have the NATURAL color in the medium size. I love it. I just received my second one but in the black on black color. But I do notice a difference in the leather... I'm not quite sure if its because I bought the natural color one at Macy's and it was the display one and it obviously had been on the sales floor for a while and the black on black came NEW and nicely packed from the Dooney and Bourke warehouse. I'm confused.

Hi Martha, I think you hit it on the nose! I would think the bag that was on display has started to patina. My new Dooney black black Ashton was a Macy's display bag for a long time. I had to take it because that bag was the only one in inventory. I love it and regard it as a care free bag. It sounds as though you bought two great bags! I hope you enjoy carrying both of them. Great comparison..I almost got the black/black small in the Macy's LD sale but I am on the short side and I thought maybe I should compare it to the mini satchel. The mini satchel may work better for me...I have to check it out in person. Thanks for the video.

That might be a good idea for you. I'd love to get a mini too. The outlets had it at one time. I hope they get it again.If I hear they are at the outlet I will let you know. I have the small in natural. The opening does bother me a bit. Im really on the fence on the medium.. I really want one, but I'm just not sure. I do carry large bags so I'm not sure what I'm so worried about 😂 Thank you for the comparison. Hope you're having a wonderful day😊

Hi Chrissie!The Medium Satchel is gorgeous. I want her but for me she is too heavy. But she might be good for you. Macy's now has the Medium. If you are near a Macy's you can try it on. I own 7 medium flo satchels, 1 small & a small Belevedere. I tend to carry them in colder weather when I can keep my phone in a jacket pocket. I LOVE this style bag, I just wish there was a outside pocket on the back. Not to keen on the toscana pocket satchels, I think it's the whip stitching on the front that turns me off. Nice review , meticulous as always!😉 TFS!!

@@BagHound Red, Natural, Black Black, Light Taupe, Ivy, Charcoal, Bordeaux & Navy in Medium, Olive in Small & black black in small Belevedere. My Goal is to Collect all the colors they've come in. I haven't paid full price for any of them, I wait for a terrific sale & scout the pre loved sites for them in great condition. My Charcoal bag was in rough shape when I bought her used on Ebay, but, I cleaned & conditioned her & she turned out GORGEOUS! She was also the cheapest.. I found her for $63!!! A risk i took to restore her!!😉😘

I think the black leather is the easiest to take care of. I think Florentine is the best leather Dooney sells, as far as I know. As far as slouch, I think that would depend on the type of leather and the style of the bag. With these two bags I could not differentiate between the two for slouch since they are both the same leather and the same style. If, however, there is a defect in the manufacture or particular leather you can feel assured Dooney will stand behind their products for 1 full year. I hope this has helped. Hi Missyissy...My small satchel did very well. The Florentine stayed beautiful. After a few years I eventually sold it because it was too heavy for me to carry for any length of time. I immediately regretted selling it. I could not find another one as nice as the one I sold so I went to the size Mini. The Small is the gold standard in my opinion. Enjoy your new bag. They are great quality bags but my constant complaint for Dooney and Bourke is the weight of the bags. you’re already starting out with 3 pounds on that larger bag 2 pounds on the smaller bag you add in your normal every day stuff and you’re carrying around 5 to 8 pounds walking around or shopping. that’s like grabbing your hand weight you use for working out and carrying those around all day. no thank you.
