I really appreciate Monster Hunter's attention to detail to distinguish things as specific as elemental effects in order to tailor them to the specific monster. It reminds me of How to Train your Dragon, how pretty much no two dragons had the same visual effect for their fire.

There are more energy swirls around Thunder Serpent Narwa's yellow lightning beam and overall darker hue than that of Rajang's and Furious Rajang's. I take it as Narwa's lightning beam is stronger than the saiyan monkes'. Especially since Narwa is supported by numerous thunder sacs on her body like at the head, chest, back, both front limbs, stomach and tail. With that many specialized organs which act as electric generators, she's ought to be the strongest Thunder elemental wielding monster in the game. And that's not even counting her Variant yet.

@@user-zi4qj7ym3q Just because Rajang's beam doesn't inflict the player with Thunder blight, it's still very much is, a golden lightning beam by default. As ecology wise, Rajang have the specialized organ to produce its lightning based attacks.

@@user-zi4qj7ym3q I don't know how the knowledge around the JP folks is shared, but for us the global fans, we often called that "unknown energy / substance" of Rajang, as the monster producing its own electricity which can be utilized in a offensive way. Especially most of other elemental attacks of Rajang and Furious Rajang can inflict Thunderblight.

the difference between Teostra and Risen Teostra though... Teostra's flame breath was shorter and was plain red. Risen Teostra's flame breath reached farther and had a wider end area, as well as having bluish color from where it started.

Big agree on this one. while world had "better looking" affects, they stylized look of Rises affects makes the game look much prettier/more fun. I hope mh6 can reach some sort of middle ground between the two

I find it appropriate how Malzeno's beam effect, while similar to the dragon energy produced by Valstrax, shares more effects with Gaismagorm's Qurio-fuelled burst, reflecting how its innate nature has been overwritten by the Qurio's influence. Likewise with Shagaru, whose so intrinsically bound to the Frenzy that its energy is purple and has no dragon effect. Interesting that Ibushi's dragon energy can manifest both as the usual crimson variety and in bright blue beams similar to Xeno'jiiva, which was a purer variant. Obviously Ibushi can't assimilate bioenergy the same way Xeno could, but stands to reason he's simply able to maintain a superior output compared to other dragon users, who tend to be mutated or require mass consumption to fuel it.

I do think that the beams are amazing, however most of the effects have been butchered beyond belief. Furious rajang in patricular, because in iceborne his super slam and other special attacks were amazing, but now they really just look bland and uninteresting.

are you mad?! the effects are insane paintsmears and blotches that blind you as if the hunters werent bad enough. risebreak devs never heard of opacity! it's one of the reasons this is the only mh I can't stand to play for long, since it's just too much...awful visuals. and im already running reduced setting and reducer mods and its still too much! can't even play online with 4 ppl. 2 is the max before you go blind completely. sry, this just pisses me off and dissapoints me so much and I can't believe anyone would like it. nothing against you I'm just mad...sorry.

I agree but with the lazer attacks, they look ugly, the only one i do like are the actual breath attacks, the one represented by a twirl/tornado, like Teostra or Rathalos
