To add onto the comments saying you forgot to mention the Wii version: The Star Wars characters you mentioned were just easter eggs which when finding all 5, allowed you to unlock Han Solo who uses his blaster from LSW:TCS Doesn't do more damage or anything since guns are insta-kill in this game but it's cool running around as Han Solo blasting people with a space shooter.

I really like these types of video but honestly its gotten somewhat annoying that you mostly just summarise the flagship game and then only briefly mention the other versions. Why not truly compare (like it says in the title) all versions and not just brush over them in like a minute? Its really not what I click on the video for.

I'll be really interested to see you cover the sequel and talk about the level builder, one of the most underrated features of a LEGO game. I'd love to see Staff of Kings talked about too, it's the only one of the non-LEGO Indy games I've played.

Man, I regret playing Lego Indiana Jones 2 on the PSP. It's a direct port from DS and always play the same compressed theme song for the entire playthrough.

@@polytanksan5761 Actually, both have the same amount of tracks, and both integrate them just as poorly. Because for some reason, while they have about 6 tracks, only the minigames get to use all of them, while the entire rest of the game uses only two of them. And yes, the PSP version not only didn’t extend them, but also don’t even have higher-quality versions, so that is in-fact doubly sad

If I remember correctly, at least in the German DS Version of the game, the Soldier is actually called German soldier. Maybe Feindlicher Soldat was a translation that would not have worked well.

Watching this video had me thinking about how Dial of Destiny would work as an old school LEGO game consisting of 6 levels. Level 1 - WWII prologue Level 2 - Pursuit through Hunter College, New York parade and subway Level 3 - Black market auction fight and Tuk Tuk chase Level 4 - Underwater diving and fight bad guys on the boat Level 5 - Exploring the Ear of Dionysius caves and finding Archimedes's Dial Level 6 - Final boss fight in ancient Syracuse

With that being said, I have fond memories of Lego Indy. I played the console version for a limited time back in 2010 where I remember my co-op buddy constantly killing me in the spiked trap portion, but I had so much fun with the DS version. The mic gimmick was interactive, the extras were fun, and there were cute Easter eggs. I hated the Shanghai car level, though. It's the one thing that prevented me from 100% the game. Overall, it's another example of a Lego game that doesn't try to be a carbon copy of the console version but stands on its own.

This cold snap we had has been extremely cold to say the least. It got so cold that some above ground sewer lines at some camps I work at froze and broke. So needless to say me and my friend drove thousands of kilometres and got to work. I felt like Indiana Jones’s when I had to use my saw all to cut frozen pipes that were actually full of pressurized sewer water. It sprayed everywhere and got me in the face and In my ear and was a hell of the time. But camp food was the best part of it, I ate too much cheese cake and chicken parm that unexpectedly I while I was under the kitchen fixing the broken water supply line I crapped my pants. After that I was able to slide under around instead of crawl under the trailers. I love you flandrew

I’ve been replaying this again recently and honestly. It makes the euphoria so strong it makes me sad how different things are now 😭 It was the dream game to play an adventure narrative and do cool puzzles in the day. Just have to say it. The Skywalker Saga is cool don’t get me wrong. But I’d rather play these games every day of the week. God I bloody love em.

Anyone else remember the Lego Indiana Jones flash game on the Lego website? I used to play that a ton along with Crystal Alien Conflict back before I got the PS2 Lego Indy game. I never did beat the flash version, it was pretty difficult iirc. It was a auto-scrolling game where Indy runs away from stuff, and you have to click on hazards to dodge them. the game moved pretty fast, and the hazards were all quite small, so it's no wonder I could never beat it lol. You can still play it on BlueMaxima's Flashpoint, btw. Also, anyone remember the little official short film called "Raiders of the lost Brick"? I used to try watching it on the school computers during lunch breaks, but the internet was so slow that it would only get like half way through before the end of the break lol.

@@PhillipsAlbright To be fair to that specific portion, there's not really a whole lot to say about that. Just a couple of screenshots or a small amount of gameplay footage is all that's needed to get the idea. Sure, the individual versions (the PS2, Wii, and PSP) themselves could have been shown off individually. But that's all I can think of for something that is virtually identical to the "main version" (PC, PS3, X360) of the game.

I had the DS version and I loved it. I must have been around 4 or 5. I remember briefly playing the PS3 version at a doctor's office (when I had to get ear tubes) and I remember being so impressed by how much better it was. I didn't even know it was a PS3 I thought it was a PS2 since the controller was so similar to the PS2, and that's what we had at home.

Close, but his name is canonically "Arnold Ernst Toht". According to the Indiana Jones Wiki, His name was originally Arnold, then a comic misnamed him as Ernst, then his name was officially retconned to have both names to avoid confusion. Funny when stuff like that happens, huh?

In the sequel on DS, Mola Ram is pretty OP. I'm not sure if I had cheats on or not when playing it, because he hits like a dump truck, KOing any enemy.
