If you want a Fanatics jersey I’d suggest get it this season because the quality will only get worse and cheaper over time. The heat pressed size tag is the start. Look at the late Majestic (owned by Fanatics) and Nike area jerseys (made and created in partnership with a fanatics). They have a bad reputation which is well earned, by them and no one else. MiC will continue I believe for 2 or 3 years and after that they haven’t committed to anything. That’s because making jerseys in Canada affects the profit margins so everything will move to Vietnam and Indonesia. Just remember Fanatics don’t care about sports fans. They own sports betting companies to take your money. They’re not a reputable clothes and appeal manufacturer because they’re an ecommerce company.

Even buying them this season is a bit risky because usually, with new products, the first line is riddled with durability issues because they haven't worked them out yet. These jerseys might fall apart.

@@esperago yes typically that’s the case as it was especially with Reebok coming in. However the Fanatics now has taken control of Adidas production so the quality now I dare say is at its highest and will only get worse over time as Fanatics decrease quality to save themselves money. It won’t be long until all jerseys including on ice have heat pressed logos. No need to buy Fanatics at all would be my advice. So many people saying nothing has changed just as good as Adidas, well then people should just buy an Adidas jersey online. Fanatics are only reducing the value and specialness of sports jerseys, clothing and items. Generic mass produced soulless items just like a bowl of flavourless oatmeal but without the nutritional value

Wish i can thumb this up a thousand times. Too many of these youtubers just don't get that fanatics are still using Adida's templates, which won't last forever. QC *WILL* get worse give or take a year.

Exactly they’re still using the template and there’s comes in next or the following season, this has been documented in articles so it’s no secret that it will change completely. Same with them saying Montréal will continue for 2 seasons. Why even put a date on it if you don’t plan to get rid of it. Nike MLB jerseys made by and developed with Fanatics are so so thin and every single part of it including the Nike swish is heat pressed. The team logos, neck size tag, jock tag, player name and number and MLB logo. And MLB are a major investor in Fanatics over several funding rounds of tens of millions (hence why Nike took the heat for the bad 2024 on field garbage even though the manufacturer is a major stakeholder and gives input into the development not just oh we make what Nike told us, not how business works). So if they’re happy to have their own Fanatics made jerseys to be so poor then of course NHL jerseys will at least be at that level of quality. MLB players basically given the replica level uniform pre 2023 and replicas have gone down even further. I collect NHL and MLB uniforms and I have a Yankees Majestic jersey 2016 before Fanatics bought them. It’s stitched on. After that every jersey I have post Fanatics is heat pressed and the Nike are worse than the Majestic. The Nike from 2020 are better than Nike from 2023. They’re getting worse. The exact same will happen to NHL jerseys. I have Adidas and Reebok Indo and MiC. Quality is Adidas MiC, Reebok MiC and Adidas Indo about the same level and how they are made and wear and tear then Reebok Indo they’re just so thin but still nice. Then one Fanatics breakaway which is fine as a long sleeve shirt but is not at the quality level for a jersey or jersey price point. It’ll get to the point where on ice will no longer be MiC and will only be slightly better than breakaway jerseys. Also likely is breakaway will be discontinued and the one in this video will be breakaway quality.

@@K-DUBYAthe majority of the three levels of jerseys have two- three finishes . For the lowest end one it’s a heat finish with the players name and number . The next two levels are heat finished but are blank . And to get a name and number need what is called a retail stitch. If you’re going for the cheapest one stitching doesn’t matter but over $300 better to bump up to a retail stitch . And some teams have a level 3 which is just a fancier stitch . But that just means a jersey could be over $700. So you can get quality but it’ll cost you! Basically you have to double check and make sure your going for atleast stiched at the hopes of passable quality . That’s how they’ll get a lot of people who don’t pay attention and just order . The new Fanatics look and feel really nice. Thing is, give them time for the current template to run out and they start using their own. Then you’ll see the corner cutting that’s made Fanatics infamous among collectors.

5’8” 170 lbs (1.73m 77kg). Always swore by adidas 46 bc the 44 was a bit too snug when layering, but the 46 did feel ever so slightly baggy. Looks like the Fanatics 46 might actually fit better overall, will be able to tell once I have the jersey in hand.

@@manueldeshaies-champoux7724 given your height/weight, I think a 50 in Fanatics would fit best. I actually made a guide on this myself, but IMO go up one size from what you wore in adidas. I tried the size 46 Fanatics, and it seemed to fit more snug that a 46 adidas, so I went up. Hope that helps 👍

It looks like the new Blue Line jerseys just came out too. Now called Power Play jerseys. I've looked at a few such as an early 90s Lemieux that I've wanted for a long time and it seems to be better quality than the garbage ones previously made. They look to be stitched this time and not heat pressed/screen printed. Would like to know your thoughts on them though

Those Fanatic jerseys look great! I was highly skeptical and I still am to an extent…. I don’t believe they’ll be able to keep up a consistently good product. Hope I’m wrong. I liked the the dimples but don’t really care they’re gone. It just seems corny to me that pro players are now wearing what once was a discount jersey brand, probably a weird complaint though. I would love to see New Era get a chance in the future.

Ya, we'll have to see how they do with consistency. I thought Adidas did fairly well with their quality control outside of the sizing, so hopefully Fanatics will be the same or better.

Not too sure. Maybe it's because they just released and they'll put more up in the future? It is a tier that I don't think a lot of people are going to be buying so it might not be a huge focus for them.

The one nice thing here is that at least Fanatics gives a shit about the NHL. Seems like Adidas wanted out of their deal from the start. Hopefully products Fanatics make get less generic and more quality.

One thing i never understood and it started with reebok and in other sports is why the manufacturers thought it was such a good idea to go from the multi layer tackle twill names and numbers to that cheap one layer printed vinyl and yet still like basketball and baseball jerseys do that it looks so cheap and just crap to me

these particular jerseys arent as bad but i absolutely despise those massive collars that extend all the way down to the top of the chest, it just looks so ridiculous. i used to collect hockey jerseys back in the day but now theres no way i would ever purchase a jersey these days with the kind of silly jacked up collars that these new companies are designing nowadays. it just looks so stupid. i miss CCM so much

I have ordered from Fanatics a lot over the years and honestly only had one bad experience. I ordered a jersey for my sister who lives in another state. Had it shipped to her and it was completely wrong. Fanatics would send a new jersey but not until the incorrect one was received. It took a minute but it worked out. That was a couple of years ago too.

I'm the opposite of you. I have only purchased one Fanatic item and it was a Florida Panthers Cup championship t-shirt from the Panthers official online team store. I bought it a few days after they won the Cup. It arrived and was ultra wrinkled inside a vacuum packed plastic package. It was like they sealed it while it was slightly damp or something. Another issue was that the silk screening (or whatever it's called) was stuck to itself and kind of sticky, overall. Like they didn't wait long enough to let the logo and writing cure before packaging. Lastly, the shape and fit of the $50 shirt is abysmal. It's thin and really short. Much shorter than any of my other medium sized hockey t-shirts. I barely raise my arms and my stomach is exposed. I'm expecting, because of the initial low quality, that the shirt will wear out quickly. Not a great experience.

in the past Fanatics dropped the ball and them getting blamed for Nike's MLB short comings at first i think that is why they played it safe and so far looks great . Fanatics is said to start changes in what was it 26 -27 they are saying as a company they want to work with the players on any changes and make sure the players agree with the changes before going forward what is a start . i know someone who got 2 Panthers Fanatics jerseys a year apart when the Panthers changed to their current look . both jerseys where the home red and side by side the red on one of the jerseys was a shade darker then the other . i don't know to me the Fanatics jerseys with out the Dimples in the couple pre season games i watched that shoulder area seems to stand out more on some teams . as of now i kind of give the slight edge to Fanatics some reason they look cleaner maybe because they no longer have the bells and whistles with the NHL shield and dimples on the shoulders .
