Thanks, too bad I didn’t have access to rox risers to compare as well.

@@MikesMotorbikeChannel FWIW, if you want the bars a little further forward when standing, nothing to prevent you from rolling the bars forward in the clamps

@@doxbike3219 true, but since most of my off-roading is pretty mild, I find the more pulled back position works just fine for me.

Tremendous video, Mike - thanks for this and all your videos to date on your Pan Am Special. I just picked up a PAS identical to yours and have ordered the A1 Risers to install this weekend. Quick question - does A1 include the torque specs for the the riser bolts? And did you use blue Loctite on the threads when installing? Thanks again for the thorough, well-produced videos!
@MikesMotorbikeChannel2 жыл бұрын
I did not use loctite, just torqued to spec. Yes they include torque specs with their instructions.

I just installed the Pazoma risers. They bolt to the existing risers and come back about a 1.5 inch.

I just installed a set of the a1 risers. The bars wouldn’t fit all the way into their cutouts and tighten up without a thread and a half showing between the cap and the riser. Checked the tolerances against the bar size . Bars are larger than the milled cuts. Also have problems with the wires not being long enough. These won’t work on my pan American 1250s. Maybe I got a set made for something else.
@MikesMotorbikeChannel Жыл бұрын
I think he only makes them for the Pan America, did you buy them directly from A1 Cycles?

Nicely done. Are there other risers, something even better than A1 that address the space issue with a cut out, top clamp to match the OEM width and bring the bar closer than 1 inch? Thanks

I know ROX makes pivoting risers that work on the Pan America, I have not tried those.

At 186 cm (6 foot 3) wonder if i should go higher not gonna go in that much rough terain and need pressure feel for the front tyre plus i want to see the display clearly. A 1 risers have no TÜV (Germany ) .
@MikesMotorbikeChannel2 жыл бұрын
At your height, you may want to consider the HD 2” risers, you may not need the pull back of the A1 risers. I think SW Motech has other options as well.

Any change in the effectiveness of the windshield when using the A1?

none that I can tell.. but I come from naked bikes so I actually use the short screen during warmer months and swap back to the stock screen only for colder months.

Curious if you've tried the Rox pivoting risers. I bought the Harley 2inch risers in hopes of getting 2 inches of pull back but no luck. They suck. Im 6ft tall. I want 2 full inches of pull back and am wondering if 2 inch Rox pivoting risers mounted on the 2 inch extended harley risers would work. I like a good upright position with a relaxed bend in my arms... approaching a 90 degree bend at elbows.
