Comparing old Vocaloid songs with their remakes part 3

For the vocals, when I didn't mention a software version that's because those are human singers, not vocal synths like Vocaloid or CeVIO. I considered not putting the piano versions of Amatsu Kitsune since those count as covers but they were also remade multiple times so I ended up including every version. In case anyone wonders what the BPM is, it basically measures how fast a song is. I decided to show it because sometimes the remakes are played at a different tempo than the original. Why didn't I put it on every versions of Amatsu Kitsune ? Because marasy didn't play to a metronome, he just speeds up and slows down so I can't count a BPM. But he played at a specific tempo when Rin was singing because Vocaloids need a BPM. The album CATEGORY【L】came out yesterday. When I saw the album trailer I thought I'll include one of those remakes in my next video.

I just love that robotic sound of earlier vocaloid songs. It may stem from nostalgia, but it just hits different.

I respect your opinion but honestly the newest version makes it sound more robotic and vibrant than the original. Yes the original sounds quite robotic has well but other things such as the power , feeling and pure pouring from the guitar riffs , the drummer and music overall enhances Rin's vocals really well. Meanwhile the new version has less of the music and more of the vocals where said vocals have more of a distortion inclusion vibration, tengaku is a combination of both music and vocaloid which on a music standpoint would be chaotic but it isn't, it's combined well. I'm not saying Rin and Len wouldn't go well, in fact I think there's versions of tengaku has len where he sounds beautiful, strong yet sensitive, rin could be the stronger vocals while len could be lower and combine well but that's not what happens in the newest version. In the end I still appreciate the recreations of my favorite vocaloid song :D and respect your opinion because either way it is an amazing song and rightfully deserves it's popularity.

For My Roar you literally said it, Utsu-P made it. And then he remade it with a vocal synth. It doesn't matter who owns the song, it has a vocaloid or other vocal synth version and got remade.

itd be so funny if this video included all of the remakes and rearrangements of utsu-p's "doll", utsu is the king of remakes lol. always somehow upgrading his sound... one of the best producers to date without a doubt. also another song with lots of remakes is kitsune no yomeiri from masa, i just love how each version has its own twist!! its very fun to listen to.

Since we’re counting versions with human singers, marasy actually did yet another rearrange of amatsu kitsune for the album voca-you 01 (october 2021)! It appears that god works hard but marasy works harder LOL

I missed it because it wasn't published by marasy himself but by the singer. Also for some reason the other songs in that album are just covers where the instrumental is just in a different key but in marasy's case the instrumental is specifically made for this album. And by the way that's not even the only version I missed, I found it after I made the video but he made an other piano version in the album 狐の日記帳 in August 2013.

@@bluestar3939 it’s oddly difficult to find details about that particular 2021 rearrange online, so it’s super easy to miss given it requires a ton of digging to even confirm ;w; I’ve seen it be listed as “amatsu kitsune -marasy piano ver-“ on a few sites, but otherwise I think it was only really mentioned that marasy had been the one who did the rearrange when the singer confirmed it on twitter. The reason why that specific song cover was the only one on the album that received an instrumental rearrange was actually because the singer and marasy had been doing a collab together at the time! There’s so many different versions of amatsu kitsune from over the past 10+ years that I feel like it’d be impossible to keep track of them all, so thank you for compiling so many of them!! There were a lot that I hadn’t heard of until now, including the 2013 version you just mentioned! ^^

Nashimoto Ui has released a new album, it's got a couple remakes. thought it would be cool if you included one of his songs sometime in one of these videos! Props for also including the Zsasz version of Striped melody btw!! Since you're including the human vocal versions, Nashimoto Ui also has a band called Araiyakashiko where he covers his songs with him on vocals, and Mononokenonomo which is a collab band with him and YM, they have a cover version of Nashimoto Ui's song "罵詈騒音" with YM on vocals.

May I suggest Children Record (2012), Children Record (2013, :Re Version, from Mekakicity Records), Children Record (2014, Mekakucity Actors/M's version), Children Record Re:boot (2021), Children Record (2022, VBS 1st album version) and Children Record Re:boot (2023, Roselia version)? There is also a version released in a 1st Place IA compilation album that includes ONE as a singer, but I dunno if that one was made by Jin

There are also a number of Kagerou Daze versions that could make for a video, most likely. There is the original (2011), then Jin's acoustic self cover (2011?), then the Mekakucity Days version (2012), there is a self cover he sings with a member of another band, Strobe Light I think? (2013), Mekakucity Actors/M's version, it's sung by a member of the above mentioned band (2014) and Proseka version (2021). There might be more I can't remember
