Comparing more old Vocaloid songs with their remakes

Yuuyu also made a GUMI version of Deep Sea Girl but it's not shown here because it's CD exclusive and I don't have it. I don't know if it counts as a remake or if it's just a cover because I don't know if it used the same instrumental as the original or not. cosMo made more versions of Disappearance of Hatsune Miku but they are not shown here because they are remixes, not remakes. Also the 2018 remake is still V2, not V4X. hinayukki made more versions of Wintry Winds, one is sung by Nekomura Iroha but it got deleted. The 2023 version also has a version sung by just Meiko and Kaito and a version sung by just VY2 and Ken. irucaice also made a Kotonoha Aoi version of Blue Canvas but it uses the instrumental of the iceQuarium version so it counts as a cover, not a remake so it's not shown here. I also said it on the previous video but I'll say it again as a reminder : the voicebank version used isn't confirmed for some of these songs and it's my guess based on how it sounds and what was available at the time.

The remake of Deep Sea Girl is so good like the way Yuuyu tuned miku really matched the soft sadness of the song more than the original and the sound effects of water and bubbles really add to the atmosphere of the song

The V1 banks can just do some things the newer ones can’t. That sharp pitch shift you hear from both (but most notably Meiko) is much harder to achieve in their newer voicebank. It’s almost a signature of their V1s.

Honestly another cool evolution is GHOST’s housewife radio. Their song has four different remixes! There’s the 8bit original version and then the 2014 gumi version,then 2015 version and then the 2016 version everybody knows and listens to

Okay imma comment which version I like most for each Original: Deep-Sea Girl, The Disappearance Of Hatsune Miku Remake: Atari Front Program, Paired Wintry Winds, Distorted Princess, Existence, Anti-Digitalism, Blue Canvas, London Slag Party High, Aspirin Similar to the previous video I prefer the remakes most of the time probably because it sounds more polished overall while holding the charm of older Vocaloid.
