Thanks for the post. I'm in the market for a Buff flash, and the comparison is great. Just a heads up, I can hardly hear the video at max volume.

Quick questions, what do you think about mixing and matching these strobes? I have an Einstein and i'm thinking about getting a second one, however, I do shoot video from time to time, and would like to get rid of my video lights and just get 2 digits bees...? Do you think the Digi Bees would work well enough for as a secondary flash when shooting outside in the sunlight? OR are they just not powerful enough? Also, do you think the color of light would match the Einstein? Thanks for the great video, sorry for so many questions.

The Einstein's are an amazing value considering what they are capable of and they are an American made product. Why all the whining about the sound? It was low but I could hear it fine. Thanks for your analysis. The DigiBee's are a super value for E-commerce shoots and product videos.

Audio is very low ! :(

Yes! Sorry! I have upgraded my audio significantly for the next video (instead of a Zoom, I now go straight into a Canon XF100). Doesn't help here, but it will be better next time! Promise!

It's too bad the Einstein doesn't use LED modeling lamp. Would help when dealing with gels. Coming from White Lightning sliders the Einstein, with it's digital one and the receiver eye on top, looks amazing.

Why are you touching the flash tube with your bare hands?
@thesophallc8 жыл бұрын
Great question! In the old days we worried about touching the strobe tubes for fear of shortening their life span - much like we worry about halogen bulbs (like those used as modeling lamps on the Einstein.) But - well - it turns out it doesn't matter. I, too, used to worry about this - in fact, my videos here from just two years ago continue that old yarn. Touching a strobe tube will not effect it's life span. We touch them all the time - our members here do too - and we never have to change or replace tubes short of "tragedy-level" impact damage. How do I know all this? Paul Buff himself told me. Seriously.

Anybody knows about and Led bulb that works with Einsteins?
@thesophallc8 жыл бұрын
Another Great Question! No. As you know, the Einstein uses a bayonet-style automotive lamps - which was an excellent selection for the light when it was designed. BUT - we are now we are stuck with it all these years later. And to my knowledge, no one has found an LED lamp that either works or fits.

@@thesophallc Any LED bulb with the same style mount will work - just be sure to get one with dimming capabilities.

Bill Morley Thank you. This video is 2.5 years old. Our audio is better now, I assure you!

Glad to hear it. The video seemed to go into great detail and it was a shame that I didn't get a lot of the words.

I dont understand how camera people screw up their videos like that. anything that looks halfway edited should be good with sound
@theclips20934 жыл бұрын
Im supposed to trust your opinion lol you should either edit this video's sound or remake it with good sound. It only reflects on you guys in a negative way. Especially if you are gonna give camera advise

Yes, the audio is low. Yes, I addressed this in a number of other comments. Yes, I have improved my audio set up - because we learn. "The Clips", I thank you for your supportive comments on a video over four years old. Skipping the ad hominum attacks on your intelligence, and thoughtfulness, I want to thank you for your contribution to the photographic community. I present this video for folks that might need it. I wish you the luck in all your future endeavors! #troll #Iworkforaliving #idontsitinmymomsbasement
