A note on York: you apply to be in a college when you apply for accommodation so choice is less limited than at Oxbridge. I'd say accommodation choice is most people's main reason for choosing a college. But you make a good point that accommodation prices could lead to some colleges having a less diverse student population

Great review. I was wondering - when you were at Nottingham, did you bother bringing cutlery and pots and pans, seeing as it was catered? I ask, because I know the flats also have kitchens.
