Comparing the effects section between the DJM-S11 and the Rane Seventy-Two

I have a rane 72 MKII I do agree the Pioneer definitely has a better workflow however, the rane is a much better mixer as far as quality and sound. I’ll take the rane product any day over Pioneer

Effects on pioneer do sound better, but that’s it, the mixer is cheap feels shit, Rane is much better quality, the 70 is a better mixer than the 72. If you’re a DJ reliant on effects, pioneer is a good choice, but if you’re a quality kind of person, stay away from pioneer😂

I’m assuming you’ve never actually used either piece nor know anything about me. I’m love rane - owned nothing but Rane mixers since 2007. Have 2 72s in my possession. The rane 72 effects ux is still awful. One is a global dry/wet the other is a single encoder you need to use to juggle 9 different functions

I own both. 62 has cleaner and punch in the sounds comparable to xone 92. S11 is warm and at times it feels the mids are soft

hardware effects work on vinyl yes - on both mixers. The Rane sounds better w/ vinyl imo, but the S11 works way better with vinyl for effects

How do you get the s11 to stack effects? I can only get one effect applied at a time.

you can only use one hardware effect at a time. You can stack software effects over hardware ones by hitting multiple buttons at once.

@@djsoo even if I hit multiple buttons at once only one will blink. I’ve seen this in every video about the s11 and mine just doesn’t do it. Serato is updated, firmware is updated. Nothing.

Yes I agree also. Rane takes it. I’m a Rane gear fanatic. I think those pioneers are way over rated it. And to me pioneer. Gear comes with to much features that I think have no use I noticed also in many videos showcasing pioneer they give it to much hype. I’ll go and take. Rane any time 👍💯
