COMPARING the speed wrench to all the other wrenches

If you’ve never seen speed wrench compared to all the other types of wrenches this video will demonstrate how fast the speed wrench really is. Will demonstrate it right next to the other options of putting nuts and bolts on. The ratchet is really slow, if you use the breaker bar in a certain way it is really quick. The speed ranch if you’re a little bit more torque and a lot more speed.

I know I'm 5 years too late, but I've been finding one huge advantage to tools that are going obsolete like this, especially the sliding t bar thingy. its that when you tighten or loosen, you can easily keep the socket on the bolt, dead straight and true. This may not be a big issue with deep nuts or bolts. but on allen key bolt heads. its a whole different ball game. Allen are prone to rounding as is, compared to a normal bolt. Especially if it's a shallow done head. I was tiring to remove a allen oil plug on a gearbox the other day, very shallow allen it was. as per usual the crank on a normal allen key started screwing round. I tried a allen key head on a sliding t bar and i couldn't believe how easy it was when you can put perfect power 50/50 and not screw it round. It was amazing. and the same goes for a speed bare. Just look at how the ratchet in the video is wobbling and screwing round compared to the brace which stays naturally straight. Just something to think about

You can tighten with an impact, just use a torque stick.

Just do it very lightly with no reduce. You should be using a torque wrench when you’re done anyway

The torque wrench pictured is one sold by Harbor freight. Believe it or not I have friends that are aviation pilots that of been using the exact harbor freight wrench for years. Every year they have to send their torque wrench is and to have them certified. For whatever reason his harbor freight wrench stays in better spec that his snap on. Go figure. I Purchased my first harbor freight torque wrench before they had any stores and I bought it through the mail order. I paid $10 over 25 years ago. A year ago it broke and they replaced it for free. Every tool at Harbor freight may not be the best but I am very pleased with this one. Let me know if you have any other questions.

A T-Handle or a L handle is faster than a speed wrench... Speed wrenches are obsolete, bulkier and old fashioned in contrast to a T-Handle or L handle
