I have an Ioniq 6 and you hit the nail on the head for every single point! Just some additional thoughts for any prospective buyers of the Hyundai: - Infotainment is only laggy for the first 10 - 15 seconds (and seems to be so more in the colder months). The system in your video looks strangely laggy. - In the US, the Bluelink (Hyundai App) is far more restricted and watered down compared to Europe. E.g., we only get energy details of our most recent 4 trips, no other information like avg. speed, etc. Big shame because the VW app is the opposite! - The beep sounds you made were hilarious! So good! and true for the most part. Although, I will say it doesn't or hasn't really bugged me that much since owning the vehicle, except for when walking away or around the car when it's turned on and the super obnoxious long beep sounds. - One thing you didn't mention was that the Ioniq 6 doesn't have a proximity auto-lock feature, which is super annoying! Especially strange because it auto-unlocks when walking towards vehicle with key and locks when you leave if you do not open the doors. Fantastic video as always, Chris. Thank you!

The Ioniq 6 is so beautiful in my optics... Look a bit like the "Ur Saab" from 1949...

Nice review Chris, Apps are all a downer for these cars and my Mach e. Got to say one peddle drive, climate, infotainment, cruise control are great in the Mach e. No HUD. Limited info on the display, difficult to see the Speed its on the side behind your 2 o’clock hand placement on the wheel. Thats about my only dislikes.

My 2019 GTI locks automatically if I walk away with my key in my pocket. Did they throw that away? Weird.

It is curious your ID7 recoup is not strong, in the Enyaq it slows me down even on a hill that I used to descent in 1st gear with an automatic ice car. 🤔 Battery always full?

I've been driving an Ioniq 6 for 6 months/15,000 kilometres and I'm not happy with it. The controls are so cumbersome at many points that I have the feeling the car doesn't want me. And that's why I don't want the car. Chris has mentioned a lot, I have over 20 points of criticism, many of which concern the menu navigation, but also the suboptimal seating position with regard to the steering wheel and power pedal, etc.

@@willr1796 Normal KZbin users should be able to create their own text. But apparently you feel triggered by my criticism. I don't know the ID.7. / The Ioniq 6 is definitely not my car. I'm curious to see if you'll be more creative with your next text.

The Ioniq6 has utility mode for when you have kids or dogs in the car and it doesn't turn off.
@BatteryLife10 ай бұрын
True, but annoying to turn on. Do you use that every time you get out of the car to keep the car warm?
@multipotentialite10 ай бұрын
@@BatteryLife I agree it is annoying. You have to lock the car using the physical key. I only use it when my dog is in the car.

Definitely would be nice to have KZbin, Netflix, etc. in the ID.7, but I guess this is not possible. I heard that you can use USB stick to play media/video files, but not much information about this.

Been a while since I used Android Auto, but there was a way to install a web browser through that and that could run KZbin and Netflix etc

A feel in the ioniq 6 interior is a disappointment for me due to mostly hard touch plastics. It doesn't justify its class. So it's ID7 for me.

Id.7 = 66k euro, Ionic 6 = 56k euro. Is the Id.7 really worth the difference of 10.000 euro?
@verygoodbrother11 ай бұрын
No. Wait ID.7 to go on sale
@abraxastulammo994011 ай бұрын
ID.7 starts 51750 EUR (according to apl website) and you already have the HUD and travel assist.
@Lorwildrose10 ай бұрын
Yea that’s expensive. Even at 55k euro in Canada that’s $80k. @ 60k euro Way too much compared to anything else. Mach e std range awd 67k $Can.

@@abraxastulammo9940 they will be shipping from Germany so probably shipping costs will make it as bad. Then probably no Can federal rebate I think it would be over that cost limit.

I know it's a personal thing...but am I the only one who thinks the Ioniq 6 is one of the ugliest cars ever to be put in production? It looks like a beached orca. From every angle this thing is horrendous. A pity because I think the Ioniq 5 is a very nice futuristic looking Hyundai with character, the 6 is just a fat blob frankensteinishly made from left-over parts lying around after they made the 5.
