I am lucky owner of N/A 1.6 VVT 2WD Premium version (Europe) Vitara from 6/2016. I love this car. Absolutely amazing mpg. Mileage 4000 km - fuel efficiency 5.5l/100km. City 65% - highway 35%. Highly recommend 👍

How is the engine in the hills and mountains? Is it strong enough?

@@joergarms1 Hi, I sold it 2yrs ago but i can tell that driving comfort was good with 3 ppl in it. No problem with hills but must go down with gears. It was only 5 speed manual. It was N/A then more rpm's was needed for overtaking and hillclimb. On 3rd gear was very fun to drive. Very good car. Sold it because new car was coming. Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid

Mine is a black/dark grey 1.6 2WD Elegance ++. Amazing car, great price for just under 30k. 4 months old 14k kilometers. Would recommend this car to everyone who wants a nice good looking little SUV.

I drove a first gen Tiguan 2.0 TSI, then a Pajero NT 3.8L V6 (still currently own it), now just get my hands on a Vitara S AWD........ seriously....it can't do what my NT can as a true 4x4, but it out performs both my Tiguan n NT on road as a daily drive....and with Suzuki's price tag n reliability, the purchase is a dxmn right choice.

If you want to do the extreme off-road driving like you maybe do in your Pajero, Suzuki also still has the Grand Vitara on offer. That one outclasses the Pajero and Tiguan. It is a true 4WD with a 4WD chassis and the width makes it so maneuverable in forests or basically anywhere.....well, you get my point ;-).

Excellent comparative review of the entire Vitara range - always better to show than tell ! It seems a pity that the price jumps so much from the base model to top of the range AWD diesel. I suspect that people who want that kind of vehicle will go elsewhere.

Suzuki Vitara has the same motor of the Fiat 500X. Apart from that, it’s a reliable car

Michael Tighe I assume that you don’t like Fiat cars, and I don’t blame you for that. Nevertheless, keep in mind that almost all of them have become fashionable. The Jeep Renegade is no exception: in the italian cities near marble and granite quarries, you can see a bunch of them

Just to clarify, the DDiS diesel engine is Fiat sourced. Suzuki specialises in small capacity petrol units only, which it has to be said, it does very well. I believe Suzuki are in fact dropping diesel variants entirely now.

stick with it...in my opinion the very base model is already more then we all need...save your money from the S model for trips with the base model ;-)

I´m owner of a top version Allgrip and I HAVE WARN PEOPLE FOR THE FACT THAT MULTIMIDIA DOESN ´T WORK. IT IS THE 5o or 6o THAT THE FACTORY CHANGE FOR ME. SO PAY ATTETION IF GPS OR OTHER FEATURES ARE IMPORTANT FOR YOU DON´T BUY THIS CAR. FOR A GOOD ENGINE IT IS OK.
