Comparison: Amazfit Pace vs. Ticwatch 2 Smartwatch!

Amazfit Pace can display app list, anything not designed as a widget gets added to a list at the end. Amazfit Pace has a microphone, but not a feature for it. A later update could take advantage of this hardware. Amazfit Pace enthusiasts develop extra watch faces and experiment with porting Android Wear apps. On the app front, that's not ideal. The watch faces are great, if in an app (instead of website) would be more ideal. Expecting everything a phone can do on a watch usually disappoints. My Android Wear smartwatch, some features are fun to try, but at the end of the day, many things make more sense in the phone, which is right there in the pocket anyway.

The amazfit is better for the value. It does stuff that is nesesary for a smartwatch to do that wouldnt be easier to do on a phone. The big draw bavk though is no voice assistent:/

I understand darpinian1's point, but personally I really like your comparison videos. I think you do a really good job of explaining the direct differences and similarities in more depth. Because at the end, your videos help us make informed decisions about what to buy and what to avoid. Since both of these watches have really similar capabilities and prices, it's unlikely someone would buy both. As a viewer, this type of video is exactly what helps me refine my thoughts and come to a conclusion on which model I prefer. Especially since both are budget smartwatches, but after watching the video, I realized how different they are in terms of target audience. Although I agree that smartwatches should be simple, I disagree that we shouldn't have comparisons...in fact that doesn't make sense. There are sooo many variables to consider, like battery life, design, display, etc. It's like saying phones should have good voice quality, therefore we shouldn't compare them at all. TBH the critique seems aimed more at smartwatches in general than even this video. Anyways, as a subscriber I appreciate the video and the effort. Keep it up!

You can load extra apps on amazfit....Your info is not correct. Use amazmod to adjust your notifications , you can even reply to messages. You can install extra apps with use of a pc. I have installed for example calendar witch synchronises with my Phone. I had te the ticwatch e2 and is very slow compared to the amazfit pace.

I really dislike a lot of smartwatch comparisons because for some reason everyone seems to want their smartwatch to do everything, like their phone does. If my smartwatch can function as my phone, then I expect more functionality out of it. But if its tethered to my phone then I want it to do just a few things REALLY REALLY good. The point of which being that it serves as a second screen to keep me from looking at my phone all the time. I don't need apps, i don't need voice search, I don't need much of anything that I rely on my phone for. I do need really good fitness tracking that I can sync with programs like strava. I do need at a glance information like weather and notifications, and I need GPS without being tethered to my phone so that I can go out and track my runs (and storage for music) without it. I think that one of the reasons that the current wave of fitness bands are moving into the smartwatch territory (Fitbit and Garmin) is because they have realized that most of the things that people ACTUALLY care about can be done without android. Samsung really knocked it out the park with the Gear S3 Frontier. Great UI, Samsung Pay, GPS, E-Sim, great health tracking, its the type of watch that serves a purpose as opposed to trying to take over the purpose. When smartwatches try to do what smartphones do, they will always come up short. The expectation should be to be a great companion, rather than to be standalone. I think both of the watches here do that, I don't think they should be compared. They do a fine job at reaching their target audience.

You're right the best kind of right, trying to make a smartwatch like a smartphone is simply bad idea, in time youll feel the limitations of the smartwatch, iwhat i really want from a smartwatch is to be a companion to my phone, not a limitated copy

Very nice video and a good comparison between the two watches. I have the Amazfit Pace and I choosed the Ticwatch S instead of the Ticwatch 2 because of Android Wear. Anyway, these chinese watches are nice. Thanks for the video.

Bought the amazfit pace, it only connects to phones running Android 7.1 or older. Period. Returned it because that is a terrible product if I can't even use it

Affan Akela you can't make or receive calls but you can accept and reject call using it Amazfit Pace ! Plus I'll share one more thing There's a new Amazfit Pace 2s/2s+ coming up so check that out also
