COMPARISON BETWEEN SEACHEM TIDAL 110 AND TIDAL 35

📖 - Video Description:
IIn this video I will show a direct comparison between the HOB (Hang On Back) filter from Seachem and Sicce... the larger, Tidal 110 and the smaller, Tidal 35...
With the change in the layout of the Discus, Altums and Guianacara aquarium, I borrowed my friend João Judas' two Tidal 35s to use in the 25 litre boxes I had for storing the biological mideas and smaller fish while I made the change. The Tidal 110 was in a 130 litre box with the larger fish.
As I had these filters at home (Tidal 35) and being the smallest of the Tidal range, I decided to make a video comparing the largest and smallest of the Tida range.
David vs Goliath... 😅
Both are excellent filters for their size, very well built, with an excellent filter material capacity, very good flow rate for HOB filters...
...what more can be said about these two excellent brands?!?

Probably have quite a few questions because I am new to this. And I just purchased the title 55 filter. My first question is how old do you know how to adjust the overall intensity of the regulator of the filter? Tia

Hello my friend!!! I don't know if I understood your question, but in my opinion, the intensity regulator should always be at maximum. But it depends on the size of the aquarium and the fauna and flora you have there.

Now I see you turn to the bottom of the filter to turn the knob of the two regulator. Please explain what you were doing to both of these regulators and how to know how to adjust them? TIA.

The bottom knob is for the filter tube, and the top knob is the general regulator. The skimmer, which are the vertical slots, is always working. You can cut off the water entering the tube or not on the bottom knob.

I am unsure why you only use 1 small section of the filter tube. Please do elaborate also, I just installed my title 55 today and added all parts of the filter tube. What is the difference if I add all 3 pieces/parts of the tube or just one such as yourself

The size of the tube is up to you. If you want it to be closer to the bottom or more in the middle.

This filter is almost more than I can handle, the last one I had was about four years old can’t remember the name of it, but it was so simple to clean, this title 55 as you were demonstrating has so many many parts to clean, it’s so time-consuming. I am sure that I want to keep it.😮😔

It's very easy to maintain. All you have to do is remove the basket and clean the biological media and sponges in aquarium water. The procedure to clean the entire filter is only if it starts to flow less water than normal. But this happens every 2 or 3 months, or not at all. It depends on the organic load in your aquarium.
