Hey, Nick. Can you do some replays where the two balls are overlayed on top of each other in the future? I think it's easier to see the real difference like that compared to side by side frames. Thanks for the amazing videos regardless!

Probably not, I never thought overlays looked good where you blend them together. Tracers take too much time as well if they’re used properly.

The larger amount of asymmetry is noticeable. The BW seems like it is a pinch sooner and heavier whereas the Offset is more true skid/flip at least to my eyes anyway. I was really hoping to see this comparison. Much appreciated Nick!

I may just not have that keen of an eye, but they look like they give similar performance. Cant go wrong with either one. I'm loving my Attack 3D Offset I got. It has a really nice ball design/color as well. I got mine for a discount so I wonder if they arent selling well as the 2.0.

I like my BW 2.0 Hydrid at 3000 grit. Flys through the lane and grabs right when I need it. Love the Hammer balls.

I think you should revisit some of these comparisons with Specto running. Considering that Hybrid and Attack are very commonly seen balls at my league houses... We have the USBC state coming up and I have both of these....but am wanting a straight up pearl or hybrid that flips hard.... Now, with the Envy Pearl, Effect, 3D Attack, and 2.0 Hybrid... I am coming back to these to see where that turn happens for these 4.

Finally have an actual arsenal now. DV8 Brutal Collision, Storm Phaze 2, Hammer 3D Offset Attack, Brunswick Melee Jab Carbon, Hammer Purple Pearl Urethane, Hammer Black Widow Clear (spare ball) 3d Offset Attack has compound removed and was recently hit with a 3000 then 4000 trucut pad. I'm very happy with how it rolls. I threw the DV8 ball and the Brunwick ball for the first time today in practice so I have to get used to them. I'm ready to do some BOWLING now though lol...

Do you still have access to the Black Widow Viz-a-ball with the gas mask core in it? I seen that you did a review on the hammer axe spare ball and strike versatility on it. What about the black widow Visa-a-ball? Seems pretty versatile as well for a review.

I have the BW 2.0 Hybrid....just got a near pristine 3d. I had Ernie Schlegel plug it at Crosley. Gonna throw it at Hustads Hazel Dell with a lesson from Stoney. I think im gonna like it a ton....it looks smoother. I also got a violet 3d....its great too!

Nice review, I would love to see a review with the black widow solid 2.0 vs the black widow hybrid 2.0. I feel like the black widow 2.0 solid was released during covid ( I call them covid balls) and there is not that much out there on it. It is like the highest and most rated ball on online bowling ball sellers, but its not in many reviews or comparisons. Now as I am typing this maybe there is a new black widow solid on the way lol. Anyways even if you don't as always thanks for what you do.

The Katana Assault is sharp off the spot. The two are close but, for me, the Assault is sharper off the spot and works best moving in and throwing right. From smoothest I would say Offset Attack, Widow 2.0 Hybrid then Assault.

I knocked the shine off and bumped the surface up to a 2000 grit made a huge difference for me. Black widow 2.0 hybrid

i've loving the HK22 covers. I have the 3D Offset Attack and the Brutal Collision. Would you put another HK22 cover ball in between them? If so which one?

Unless you dulled down the Brutal, there probably wouldn’t be much room for a ball in the middle. Should be looking for a ball below, Something cleaner less aggressive.

Being selfish here but I would like to see you roll the DV8 Brutal Collision just to see how it looks off of your hand. I have not had mine long enough to consider touching the surface at all. Another selfish idea but since you alread did the knockout bruiser do a video rolling the Melee Jab Carbon against it since they have the same core (I think)

As Nick got more left you can see the difference in core strength clearly. 3D is a much weaker core which shows as smoother down lane where the Widow core is just nasty strong and picks up harder the further left (the more oil) it sees. I do wish you had selected a layout that took advantage of the intermediate differential differences (MB NOT in thumb).

Drilling the mass bias will generally increase the intermediate differential and skid flip down lane. I think we saw that here.

Good review. I like see Hammer bring back the Pink Black Widow pearl ball that EBI made in 2019. Bill O'Neil bowled almost a 300 in the 2019 PBA playoffs with it. 🎳🎳👍
