I have several Pedersolis, and only one Indigun. The Pedersolis are pretty. They look like they were put together on modern cnc equipment...which they are. The Indigun I have, surprised me. It looks and feels more robust and ruggedly built than the Pedersoli. I cant help but think the Indigun looks more like an original than the Pedersoli. Were I to have to live on the Ohio frontier for a year, Id choose the Indigun. As for the price...i probably wont be buying anymore Pedersolis. Im impressed with the Indiguns...a good quality for a FAIR price. BTW, one man's " patriot, is another man's rebel!😊

My comment is a little late, but if you disassemble the India made musket, remove the finish with a water based varnish remover, then use Birchwood True Oil, 400, 600 sandpaper, to refinish the stock, it will come out looking wonderful. The final rub would be with 3000 grit sandpaper and the finish will be as smooth as glass.

So that’s how they get that glass finish amazing thanks so much my friend 😊

What I am torn over is the toss of the dice quality of Military Heritage Arms, and I heard some oddball defects on Pedersoli, in addition Pedersoli while high class are a nightmare to buy to me and I find it hard to find a way to get my hands on one! Also the selection while diverse is limited in what they offer, MH muskets have types people would desire but Pedersoli does not offer those, not trying to give Pedersoli ideas to knock MH out of the arena in muskets, but it would be cool if Pedersoli offered more than what they got. That said even then I hear good and bad mixed in, while MH is not perfect, it has enough to work well but I heard they are like 'kit guns', while they look good they need more to get them running well and fix some of the imperfections they have; and I have no such gunsmithing skills or tools to fix the flaws.

I think the Indian musket you have there is the 1766 Charleville and the Pedersoli is the 1777 Charleville. That is the reason for a lot of the diffrences there.

May I ask what is the best thing to wipe down the barrel and stock with?
@Sunny224759 ай бұрын
I do not know if it is the best I use WD 40 on them 😊lot of people use balastol on modern firearms light motor oil and wd40 for me probably because it always my go to rust preventer😊

Well one (Pedersoli) is a proofed firearm. You are paying for that. The Indian guns DO fire and I've found no actual evidence of problems with them
