There is only one important thing if you choose AN DAC you must have also AN amplifier otherwise AN DAC won't always fit the system.

What are your in person experiences with those DACs? Is there a huge difference between them?

@@Patryks26 I have always considered the DAC2.1X SIGNATURE to be quite a sufficient solution for a third-tier system. And I still hold that opinion. However, now that both DACs are in my home, I can confidently say that the DAC3.1X/II BALANCED noticeably outperforms the DAC2.1X SIGNATURE in many aspects of sound quality. Especially when it comes to sound detail, nuance, fine detail resolution, and microdynamics. But in my system, I will still keep the DAC2.1X SIGNATURE.🙂 Unmatched value for money. Thanks!

@@Audio-Salon I heard that AN sound starts from DAC3.1X and that DAC2.1X Sig doesn't have good price/quality ratio. I heard both DACs in my system and i agree with you that DAC3.1X is noticeably outperforming DAC2.1X Sig.

@@Patryks26 Certainly, DAC3.1X/II BALANCED is better than DAC2.1X SIGNATURE, but it also costs twice as much... On the secondary market, DAC3.1X/II BALANCED is also quite rare compared to DAC2.1X SIGNATURE, which can be bought quite affordably. However, if price is not considered, DAC3.1X is an excellent option! Thanks.

@ True. Maybe you can help me decide because i am looking for AN-E SPE HE speakers, is the Signature version with external crossovers worth additional charges?

Audio Salon, thank you for the wonderful clips you produce. It really is appreciated.. I agree that the DAC 3 is an improvement over the DAC 2 but given the price differences the DAC 2 Sig does a very respectable job. Got the $$$ go for the 3 if not the 2.1 is pretty impressive in its own right. Do you have any thoughts on the CD3.1x/ii cd player? I love physical media and considering that player. I'm currently using the AN Cobra along with the same speakers in this video. Thanks again for all your efforts.

I've used CD2.1X/II for a long time, then CD4.1X, but unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to test CD3.1X/II. I’m confident it’s a great option for its price. Personally, I would choose the DAC 2.1X SIGNATURE and a transport from AN, such as CD1.1X. There are very interesting offers for the DAC 2.1X SIGNATURE on the secondary market. I am using CDT Two / II with Cobra, very good combo. My streaming chain is much more expensive than CDT Two / II but still i prefer the tone of AN CDT.
