Yeah, Ft-17 Hoodlum definitely has its issues. But Imo, there's no comparison here. That Takara looks like something Hasbro would have released for $35 bucks. The proportions are so off, it looks like a children's toy. Now that New Studio 86 Hod Rod!..now that's a wow! As always great video comparison ♥️🌟

I personally prefer hoodlum, but there are some issues with this one. I am excited for the studio series 86 for sure

It kinda depends on what you want out of a figure imo. I have the FT version simply because it looks better in my collection but Takara made a superior product in terms of almost everything else. Hoodlum is pretty to look at but by far my least favorite FT release.

I’m gonna buy MP-28 because I prefer the more movie accurate colors. But I still want the Targetmaster for Hot Rod. So, I’ll shop on EBay for MP-40 Targetmaster. And I also need an MP-10 matrix too. The only MP-10 mold I have is the shattered glass version.

I suspect will be seeing a Takara V2 Hotrod mould at some point with a faux chest. As it looks like he’s currently wearing a shirt made of cardboard. And those shoulders on the Fanstoys!! Eurgh!! Why can’t they be lower!!!

Agreed on both counts

Cool comparison I’ve had both MPs since they came out but I always felt like hoodlum was better looking until I saw this video , I’ve gained a new appreciation for the MP hot rod now , if his forearms transformed like hoodlums he’d be the ultimate hot rod Figure

@@TMReviews yeah I'm just saying the hoodlum I wasn't a fan of his scale well actually both of them are unusually tall for hot rod. It seemed to me rod and kup was average in size. I think the studio series hot rod will blow away both of these figures.

The shoulder vents (?) are way too high on the FansToys. But then, I think the FT looks too stretched out.

This is what I expect the comparison between the Arcee's will be. Takara will feel better, and transform better, but FTs will look much better in bot mode.

Have you tried the shoulder adapters on Hoodlum? I’d love to see it because those high shoulders are keeping me from a purchase.

Hoodlums chest is so appealing it’s worth it, mp28s chest is a eye sore
@gmon784 жыл бұрын
I think the Takara has the best robot mode and Fanstoys has the best vehicle. Something about the shoulders/neck area of the Fanstoys makes it look like the head is much too high off the chest.
@TMReviews4 жыл бұрын
Agreed, although I would prefer slightly beefier legs for takara

MP40 Targetmaster Hot Rod did pretty well for emulating that wonky color scheme of "The Rebirth" aka Season 4 that Studio AKOM was responsible for. And he just barely does a better job of it than Hoodlum does emulating The Movie, simply because Hoodlum's shoulders are way too high up there. Meanwhile, I'm still lookin' to find the combining Photon Lasers aka Photon Eliminator Rifle from MP09 Rodimus Prime, just so Hot Rod can have a proper set of Photon Lasers A&B. I think I get why Takara left out so much: they made the (potentially) ghetto fantabulous mistake of assuming folks who actually had gotten MP28 Hot Rod and all the accessories wouldn't mind double-dipping. 😏😏😏 Silly Takara...Repeaters are for Seekers!! (And Datsuns, Lambos, & Vanettes, apparently)

Entendendo suas colocações, posso presumir que se eu escolher o MP-28, isso me bastaria. Correto? Pelo que vejo o MP-40 é uma reedição com apenas mais um rosto e um minibot. E, só!
