i've had the cerato gt sedan for a few weeks now and it's honestly the best car i've driven. it looks amazing and actually feels super powerful. can't really say too much about fuel economy yet as i'm not even a 1/4 of the way through my second tank, but my first tank averaged about 10-11L/100km (only because i was playing with the sport mode and trying out all the different settings) and so far in my second tank i'm sitting around 6.2-8L/100km so it's definitely looking good. can't beat the 7 year warranty (which actually gets upgraded to 10 if you do all your services through kia), and also the on road costs being included makes a massive difference in price compared to competitors. might have to stick with kia from now on because i'm really impressed so far

@LucaJC2 жыл бұрын
@@kmuinde the Cerato GT speakers TRUELY feel like your listening to the music at a concert, it’s loud, you have bass, treble, everything, or if you want it can sound like your listening to music through your AirPods, it’s simply perfect I cannot fault it. The infotainment system is the easiest thing I’ve used and I never use it, I just plug in Apple car play and it’s the best thing ever. The Cerato GT was my Christmas present for getting on my P’s and it has been nothing but a pleasure, you will get looks, and more importantly it brings a smile to your face. I looked at ALL of these cars and the reviewer was quite wrong. The interior for the Ford, the VW, and the Toyota both looked and felt cheap. The cloth seats and plastic EVERYWHERE made it feel like you were in a car that cost 30k. The i30 and the GT feel like a 45-50k car easily. The ripped leather seats, and stitching makes it feel special. The performance is the best out of all of these cars with the 0-100 being timed at 6.6-6.8 (brake boost) compared to the i30’s 7.3. The Cerato also has an industry leading warranty with 7 years. I said this and I’ll say it again. I would rather have this GT than a base model Audi A3 or even a base model Mercedes C class and save the money. It’s the best value for your money.

Toyota - CVT - OUT VW - freaking boring and worst quality together with the Ford - OUT Hyundai - no speaker system with more than 4 speakers - OUT --> I would have a hard time deciding between the Ford and the KIA. I cannot believe the Ford's fuel consumption is as low as stated. Awesome driving apparently and I have heard that the B&O is best in class. The KIA on the other end probably turns out to be the better buy after 5 years, when the Ford starts making trouble. Not sure about Ford quality these days. In terms of looks, I prefer the exterior of the Ford and the interior of the KIA. Good I don't need to make a decision today. Will drive my 316ti till it falls apart (which could be any day at 220k km, but it could also last another 150)

Buying any car is difficult because it is both a subjective decision and also a objective one also. I have just recently bought a ZR Corolla which I will get in around a month. Many cars I looked at from just reviews. The two cars I liked were the Corolla and the new Mazda hatch. I did test drive the Cerato GT and its appeal to me was the 1.6 turbo with 150kw plus max torque from 1500 to 4500 rpm. I also thought the golf was good for similar reasons. I culled the turbos as both VW and kia have high service costs. This left me with Mazda and Corolla. Personally I like the Toyota better for looks and that is purely subjective. Im no power freak and I thought 125KW for the Corolla is good enough for me. The Mazda is only 114kw or you could get the 2.5 Mazda which costs much more In the end the Toyota with its renowned reliability and low running costs won out. A Corolla costs $875 for servicing over 5years. The Cerato cost $3250 for 5 years. Being practical you don't buy small cars if you want to carry adults in the back, also the Corolla boot is small. Seeing as its only my wife and I this car suits us. If the wife had preferred the Mazda I would have been happy with that also. Its all about being objective and subjective so really there is no best car that 100% of small car buyers would buy.

I own a Ford Focus ST Line and the trip computer currently shows 9.2L/100km on required 95 Octane. The car is used by my wife driving in the suburbs and occasionally driven spiritedly through the Adelaide Hills by me. The offical rating is 6.3L/100km I haven’t filled it to full, recorded the kilometres, emptied the tank and done the maths with how far I went. The Ford has cylinder deactivation (runs on 2 cylinders under the right conditions and has Start/Stop) We had a manual Ford Focus Trend previous 3rd generation, that car driven exactly the same averaged 8.2L/100km on 91 Octane. I wonder if Ford will bring the manual version of the 4th Generation Focus to Australia? A manual could get better economy since there is no power sapping torque converter. In the Instruction book with the Focus it shows Manual gearboxes in the pictures..... FYI my VF2 SS manual Commodore gets 13.9L/100 on 95. I’m a big fan of the our Focus, the technology pack with lane keep assist and radar cruise control is cool and we also optioned the LED headlights which are amazing, they find traffic signs and hi light them automatically!!

The sound isn't good at all and my 05 Sonata Elite has a much better sound system. -No rear aircon or usb charge ports for the rear is also a disappointment. -Liven up the interior a little with blue stitching on seatbelts and stitched leather on dash and doors. In saying that, everything else is excellent and all is forgiven as the driving experience is amazing and the amount of kit you get is fantastic. I opted for the Top spec which comes with the alcantara and leather seats and panoramic sunroof, I'm absolutely thrilled. Sad they made the N-Line which ruins the exclusivity of the i30N and its look.
