I'm so excited to see this! I am trying a "no buy" 2025 and have been watching all your videos. You have given me enough ideas and inspiration to help me stay on track! I'm going to tell my husband, "Don't worry, Suze has me covered for patterns and inspiration" Thanks for ANOTHER awesome idea and wish you all the best in the coming year ❤

I did a no buy 2024. The only fabric I bought was a 108" backing to coordinate my grandsons queen size I did from Kaffe fabric I had. Good luck.

Absolutely brilliant. I'd have gone with the Celtic look layout, but they were all gorgeous. Thank you so much.

Totally clever block. I think I'll try it using complementary colors on the color wheel. I need a good challenge quilt for 2025. Thank you. 🎶💐💖🫂

I would have made setting triangles for the corners and sides where you use partial blocks, I would have used a solid for the setting triangles that plays well with the rest of the blocks. I do like the idea of the 'compass' blocks

Great quilt! Thanks for making the video and how well you show and describe the process. Love that fabric. Wonder if the shine will wash away after it is laundered.
@revelationquilts16 күн бұрын
Good question! I don't think it will, otherwise I'll have a glitter bomb in my laundry machines.

The only suggestion I've seen for working with bias edges/on point is to iron a strip of freezer paper along the bias edge so it works similar to stay-stitching. It's faster and you can peel it away. Then it's stable while adding your border. Karen Brown had lots of suggestions for using freezer paper on a video. (Just Get It Done Quilts). That's a great looking quilt! Thank you.

Ooh I love this! So eye catching and it's always fun to see how many options you consider before settling in a layout. Have you ever tried those shimmery cottons from Joann's? They say "Do not iron" but guess what! I disregarded that and found the fabric is totally iron-able and easy to work with. It is naturally crisp like it has been starched. It may not be as fancy as the Kona sheen but since you aren't a fabric snob either you'd like it.

I have not tried the ones from JoAnn's. I'll have to look into it.

By the way, do you have a blog post that explains the benefits and perks of your revelation quilts guild/club? Sounds fun but I need more info.
@revelationquilts16 күн бұрын
I don't have a blog. In the FB Revelation Quilts Guild, we share our projects, have monthly challenges with prizes, etc. It's a positive quilting community where we lift each other up. It's free to join, so if you don't like it you can choose to leave without any loss.

Where do you buy the little triangle?
@revelationquiltsКүн бұрын
I bought mine at Missouri Star quilt Company.

I thought when you put quilts on point, your edge pieces had to be slightly larger, no?
@revelationquilts16 күн бұрын
That is the way many show it, but I had zero issues with everything coming out even. I didn't even have to square things up before putting on my borders.
@katehenry271815 күн бұрын
This would be so much prettier in matte finish cloth. Shiney is just creepy on a bed.
@revelationquilts14 күн бұрын
Well, it's a good thing it won't be going on a bed. It takes on a whole new dimension when it's quilted.
